Sonia Kashuk Grand Bazaar Liquid Lip Review & Swatches
Vintage Wine and Blushed Wine are two new, limited edition Sonia Kashuk Grand Bazaar Liquid Lip Lipsticks that launched with the the Sonia Kashuk Grand Bazaar Fall 2015 Collection. Well maybe they aren’t both liquid lipsticks one is actually a gloss!
Sonia Kashuk Grand Bazaar Liquid Lip Lipsticks proved a little tricky to track down. Sonia’s limited edition collections have become more and more popular in the last few years and I find myself visiting several different Targets in the hopes of scoring what I am looking for as things sell out fast. And is it any wonder? Her makeup is pretty spectacular!
But at last I’m able to bring you a review of both after tracking Blush Wine which eluded me for this Fall!
Sonia Kashuk Grand Bazaar Liquid Lip come housed in a chubby little tubes with a houndstooth plaid burgundy print. It’s a very fashion forward packaging look for Fall as burgundy plaid prints seem all the rage at the moment, I personally have a pair of chucks in this exact print so my lipstick matches my shoes ha!
These is such a confusing formula but I’m so not complaining about that. Why? Because one is actually a liquid lipstick with a matte finish and the other is a soft, shiny lipgloss. Two formulas but they share the same name of “Liquid Lip”. Weird right? You would think they’d name them differently if the formulas weren’t consistent across the board but hey, like I said, I’m not complaining because I actually loved both.
Sonia Kashuk Grand Bazaar Liquid Lip Swatches (Blush Wine and Vintage Wine)
Blush Wine is the gloss formula. This has a gel-like consistency with a soft, shiny finish that give lips a very nice a pretty tint of dusky brown pink (or mauve if you will). The formula isn’t sticky or tacky and wears quite comfortably for around three hours before shine and color wears away. It gives lips a nice plush look and looks very natural and pretty so if you’re doing an elaborate eye look this is great for a nice neutral lip look that adds color but doesn’t overwhelm. It’s actually a shade many people will likely reach for again and again and again! For that reason alone I purchased a back up.
Now Vintage Wine surprises as this is not a gloss but more of a velvety liquid lipstick formula. This has a creamy consistency with a matte finish that’s soft on lips without being dry. It does not crack, migrate, or feather through the wear and it provides opaque color to lips in the form of a pretty dark berry wine. It wears longer than Blush Wine at around nearly five hours.

These both have a little bit of a fragrance and flavor that reminds me of play-doh but it disappears fairly quickly after application.
I thought the inconsistencies in the formula was a rather interesting and delightful little surprise. Sonia Kashuk Grand Bazaar Liquid Lip no matter which color and formula you go with should be a very happy purchase. Each formula and shade is excellently formulated and come in fabulous Fall shades that are very, very wearable.
Love these!
Available now at Target and Target.com with a big old Muse Approval.
Note: One of the shades I posted about was a PR sample and the other I purchased myself at Target.
