First Aid Beauty FAB Cleanse & Exfoliate Kit Review
I’m back with more FAB today! This $10 buck First Aid Beauty FAB Cleanse & Exfoliate Kit is a perfect little introduction to the world of First Aid Beauty or to stock stuffings with.
It includes a First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser as well as a ten pack of First Aid Beauty’s Facial Radiance Pads.
I told myself that this year I’d purchase some Holiday goodies for myself and it wouldn’t be all about the blog. In another words, I wouldn’t be purchasing stuff that everyone else wanted reviewed but I would purchase some stuff that I wanted to personally try. No offense guys, I love you dearly, but this is actually the first year I indulged in stuff I wanted versus making purchases based on what everyone wanted to see reviewed here on Musings of a Muse 🙂
Forgive me?
I’ve been wanting to check out First Aid Beauty for a while now and considering my drier skin has been kinda a pain lately I thought I’d check out the FAB Cleanse & Exfoliate Kit as I needed a cleanser that wouldn’t strip plus extra exfoliation is always welcome.
For $10 bucks you can’t really beat this set as it gives you a generous 2 oz size of FAB’s Face Cleanser and 10 of their much hailed and raved Facial Radiance Pads. I was most curious about the Radiance Pads as they tend to get the most press time. I’ve actually ran through my ten pack at this point so I feel able and ready to give you some thoughts on ’em!
These contain a blend of lactic and glycolic acids which is a great exfoliating cocktail. They do also contain a high fragrance due to citrus extracts so if you’re sensitive just keep that in mind. To use the pads just swipe ’em onto your skin in the evening and follow up with your regular nightly routine. They’ll act to gently resurface skin over night. This is actually a really, really mild treatment and over the course of the two weeks (actually ten days total) I used it I didn’t really experience and major change in my skin. The formula just isn’t quite concentrated enough to make a major noticeable or visible change in my experience with it. But I’m glad I actually got to try it prior to purchasing a jar full and hating it you know?
This also includes FAB’s Face Cleanser which is a creamy, foaming cleanser. I actually wanted to see about getting on board with a cleanser or cleansing oil that wouldn’t strip my skin and make it look and feel drier. I think I’ve finally that in Farmacy’s Cleansing Oil but I thought First Aid Beauty would be a good place to start as well since they have such great ingredients in their products. The cleanser is quite nice, it lathers beautifully, and it removes makeup easily enough. I did experience a bit of stinging when I used it around my eyes which kinda sorta made me less than a fan. I use eye makeup remover to get off my eyeshadow and mascara but I do like to massage my cleansing oil or cleanser around my eyes to get anything my eye makeup remover left over. So it is kinda a deal breaker if I can’t use a cleanser around my eyes. Again, it also deserves mentioning this cleanser has a citrus fragrance due to the citrus extracts that FAB uses in many of their products.
This is a cute and budget friendly way to try out First Aid Beauty. I wasn’t really sold on either item in the set but that’s ok because at $10 at least I know I won’t need a full size of either product.
If you’re just exploring this brand this is a great way to check out some of their offerings!
Or if you’re already a fan this is a nice way to restock on some travel essentials or even to introduce a friend or family member to the brand without splurging a ton of cash.
