You can mix and cocktail just about any foundation product you want to lighten, darken, or create an entirely new shade. But how much easier would it be if you had two different drops, one to lighten and one to darken, to do the job for you?

The Body Shop’s new Shade Adjusting Drops does just that. Darkening is a bark brown shade that adds depth to lighter foundation shades where as Lightening lightens and neutralizes yellowness in foundations.

Cool right?

The Body Shop Self Adjusting Drops makes it easy and simple to adjust any of your foundations with a drop!

I can make foundation as pale as me! So many TM’s and foundations that I wanted to try but not the right color! YAY!!

So excited for this! So many foundations a touch too light or dark for me; would work great for adjusting foundation shade for summer/winter seasons.

  • Laura

I have wanted to pick up the lightener as almost all foundations are too dark for me.

This looks great! I agree. How come this idea was not done sooner. I checked the website. Both colors are out of stock. Muse, do you know the ounces for each bottle? It is not listed on website. Thanks.

I don’t sorry :-/ I’ve been hunting for them in store but haven’t seen ’em yet!

I just chatted with online support at The Body Shop. She said each bottle is 10 milliliters, which is about a third of an ounce. About two-thirds the size of a standard 15 ml bottle of nail polish, so not very big.

Thanks Silver nail. Very small bottle for $20. I think it is expensive for the small size.

The bottle is 15ml and you only need 1-2 drops so this amount will last ages! I bought the dark and the light and the consistency is lovely and smooth.

I’ve been using Manic Panic Dreamtone in Virgin (white) to adjust for my light skintone. These are a good option to keep in mind, but I want to see reviews first. These seem like a more basic version of the Cover FX drops.

Excited to play with this idea but color matching is a much more complicated process than simply just making a shade darker or lighter. I’m very interested to see how these work out for everyone.
