L’Occitane Holiday 2015 Advent Calendar Review

If you buy nothing else for yourself this Holiday season at the very least purchase the L’Occitane Holiday 2015 Advent Calendar ($49)! This darling, whimsical little countdown to Christmas calendar contains an array of L’Occitane en Provence beauty picks in a beautifully illustrated ribbon tied box which converts to an Holiday Advent Calendar when opened, allowing you to count the days down until Christmas with a new beauty surprise from L’Occitane for 24 days!

Truly, this is just such a gorgeous way to greet each day of the season!

I think what makes the L’Occitane Holiday 2015 Advent Calendar such a stand out gift pick for yourself or family is the presentation of the calendar. Perhaps it’s because it appeals to my inner child, perhaps because it makes me think of Europe, perhaps it’s because it’s quite cute, no matter how you see it this is just beautifully presented.

The outside of the box has a red ribbon closure and features a whimsical Holiday scene with apartment buildings looking all cozy in the distance decorated for Christmas. A girl is walking on the snow laden street carrying her treasures home is also depicted on the front of the box. It’s just a cute scene. When you open up the box you’ll get a glimpse inside of the apartments occupants. The occupants are decorating for Christmas, sitting down to a meal, snuggling by the tree, and even taking a warm bubble bath on a cold Winter night. I can’t express how whimsical the illustrations are. As you pop open each day you’ll find a small little gift from L’Occitane that includes wee samples of hand cream, fragrance, body cream, shower gel, and even tiny little gift tags, gift cards, glitter, and a nail file. The illustrations also extend to each pop out as each one reveals a small image of a much beloved and favorite L’Occitane product, a candy cane, and even Santa himself.

For this review I sadly had to ruin opening each day as I’m sure everyone wanted to see images of the contents. Don’t read further if you prefer surprises 🙂

As we get nearer and nearer to the Holidays you’ll likely find your inbox overflowing with invites to parties, get togethers, game nights, dinners, etc…! I know Fall and Winter is one of the busiest times in my life with many invites to a variety of fun gatherings with friends. I never go to these events without a gift for the host and something that everyone can share (typically some sort of delicious desert!). My host or hostess almost always gets something beauty related or something for their home like a lovely candle or if the time falls right I love giving a advent calendar as there isn’t any nicer way to count down the Holiday season.

With the amount of beauty related calendars launching lately you have your choice of a perfect host gift to choose especially for a host who loves beauty. Last year I gifted my friend the Benefit Advent Calendar during a game night she had late in November and she was simply thrilled by it!

This year I must admit my favorite beauty calendar is the L’Occitane Holiday 2015 Advent Calendar! It’s adorable, filled with fun little favs from the brand, and would make for a wonderful gift.
