Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Essentials

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Essentials is a new, limited edition Holiday 2015 makeup brush trio that includes three full size Real Techniques Bold Metals Makeup Brushes.

Let’s take a look!

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Essentials3

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Essentials comes housed in a festive metallic box ready for gifting and contains three full size brushes (one of which is exclusive to this set) from the Bold Metals range.

The handles each have a different metallic handle of gold, rose gold, and silver. They have a very high end look and feel with super soft synthetic bristles that do not shed or split plus they clean very easily with and dry quickly.

I find the handles are sturdy but aren’t terribly heavy but just right in my hand. I’d liken them to the brushes included in last year’s It Cosmetics for Ulta Your AirBrush Masters Advanced Brush Set but they are a good deal heavier. I find the bristles are soft yet dense enough to blend eyeshadow and blush easily into skin. I also like the fact that even though I tend to have a heavier hand my makeup still blends out more naturally as the bristles blend and blur it out to a soft focused finish.

The set includes the Oval Shadow Brush ($16) which has a larger head that can be used to gently dust on shadow and blend out. You also get a Tapered Blush Brush ($24) which is actually my favorite brush in this set. As I mentioned above I tend to be very heavy handed and this brush never ever over does my blush no mater how heavy a hand I use. The bristles are very soft and they gently buff color out to a picture perfect finish. The exclusive brush in this set is the Angled Powder Brush which has a very larger slightly angled head. This is an ideal brush for setting makeup with as it’ll pick up powders easily and brush them gently into skin without leaving behind a chalky layer of powder. The bristles are very full and very soft. It’s one of the largest brushes I’ve seen from the Bold Metals Collection and to my knowledge hasn’t been available in any other sets.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I’ve been lusting after one of these brushes but some people have had the color peel off, which is annoying. I don’t mind a cheap brush (hello, ELF!) but damn! Maybe during this holiday season one of these sets will entice me. Thanks for the review! I haven’t seen this set yet 🙂

I don’t get why these Bold Metals brushes cost so much more that their regular brushes. Because they’re pretty? I like their other brushes, but I just can’t bring myself to drop money on these.

Mmm true they are indeed more money than the regular line! The quality is here which will hopefully make you feel a little better about the price 🙂
