Smashbox X-Rated Mascara

On 11/26 you can get a sneak peek of the new Smashbox X-Rated Mascara that’s launching with the Smashbox Spring 2016 Collection. Yeah, I know, I’m so rushing away the Fall and Winter with these posts but brands seem to have a knack for previewing their Spring Collections earlier and earlier and earlier.

Technically, Smashbox X-Rated Mascara launches in Ulta stores in January but you can get an early sneak peek online next week!

“In the photo studio, we need to create different levels of drama without removing all the makeup and starting again. With X-Rated, I can go from a classic everyday lash look to over-the-top volume in just a few layers.” – Lori Taylor Davis, Global Pro Lead Artist.

Smashbox X-Rated Mascara is marketed as a buildble mascara that gives lashes drama, over the top, or as the brand calls it “obscene” volume. The brush allows you to build the interlocking fiber formula which prevents clumps and give lashes super volume and fullness.

Apparently the brush has three deeper channels to coat lashes and three rows of bristles that isolate each lash and allows the bristles to pull them your lashes forward and upward adding length with each stroke while the mascara fibers wrap around lashes creating instant volume.

I’m intrigued. It sounds interesting enough.

Smashbox X-Rated Mascara launches at Ulta.com next week and arrives in stores for January 2016.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse.
