Bare Minerals Charming Lips & Cheeks

One of my Ulta Black Friday pick ups was the ten buck Bare Minerals Charming Lips & Cheeks. I mean how can you go wrong here right? It contains a full size Bare Minerals Blush in Lovely Blush (sweet pink) and a full size Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss in Shining Star (dusty rose).

It’s a freaking steal!

Oh and by the way it’s totally still available at Ulta.com if you want it.

Bare Minerals Charming Lips & Cheeks Set

Ok, so for ten bucks I feel bad complaining but just one thing and I promise I won’t say another word. The promo image shows Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss in Shining Star as being kinda sorta a reddish shade and that’s what I was hoping for but it’s actually a dusky rose mauve. I was a little disappointed! I wish the shade was a bit more Christmas-y but hey, at this price I shouldn’t rant at all!

The Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss formula has a tacky, sticky consistency but it feels quite comfortable and lightweight on my lips. I’ve always been a lover of this formula as it wears for four hours and makes my lips look plush and shiny. It does have a sort of cinnamon, vanilla mint flavor and fragrance so just a heads up for sensitive users. As I said above this is a full size shade which typically retails for $18 so you are getting quite a value! The color is actually exclusive to this set as well. Bare Minerals calls it a dusky rose but it has a bit of mauve to it in my opinion so I’d call it a dusky mauve rose.

To pair up with the gloss they include a full size Bare Minerals Blush in Lovely Blush which is dubbed a sweet pink. To me this is a warm light garnet or cranberry shade. Don’t be scared of it as I think it can look intimidating but it applies quite lovely and light on cheeks giving my complexion a nice touch of warm reddish pink! It wears for a solid eight hours without fading and looks
quite lovely paired up with the gloss.

All in all for ten bucks you can’t beat this set. It’ll make a cute little small gift idea for someone or even a stocking stuffer for a makeup lover!

You can get it now at Ulta and Ulta.com.

Did you pick it up during the Black Friday Sale?

Don’t you hate promo pics that are waaaaay off from the actual color?? Anyways, I think it looks quite pretty on you. And did you apply to your eyes too? I love that shimmery mauve you have on, really brightens your eyes and makes them pop
