MAC Only You Lipstick Review & Swatches
MAC Only You Lipstick is a new, limited edition MAC Lipstick launching with the MAC x Ellie Goulding Collection. I was very excited about this collection as it’s filled with nude, natural peach shades that I absolutely adore. I’m not a traditional kinda girl and I’m not much for the nude, beige-y lip look but something with a bit of peachiness is my ideal nude and this collection is filled with such shades!
Take a look!
MAC Only You Lipstick ($18) comes housed in special, limited edition packaging feature Ellie Golding’s signature in rose gold splashed across the front with a black lacquered barrel.
Only You is my ideal shade of nude lipstick! MAC calls it a mid-tone coral with a cremesheen finish. Personally for me it’s a nude peachy pink which can pull either warmer or cool. The shade runs sheerer but it builds nicely but don’t expect bold pigmentation from this one, you won’t get it. I loved it, sheer or not, it still proved a very wearable shade for me. So much so that I think I need a back up! The shade does wear a shorter time though and fades away after three hours on me.
The formula is a bit dragging initially but as it warms up it applies much easier. It has a light, balmy consistency that looks soft and smooth on my drier lips!
I don’t think it’s a formula or a shade that everyone will love. When you think MAC you think excellent pigmentation with perhaps a bolder, dramatic finish. MAC Only You Lipstick is all about a soft, delicate look and personally I like that a lot as I have too few nude lipsticks in my life that I love but this one happens to be one.
Loves it.
I’m putting a Muse Approval on this one for the girls or guys that like something soft and natural looking!
MAC Only You Lipstick arrives with the MAC x Ellie Goulding Collection on December 14th.
