Remember this Clarins Holiday Collection?

Clarins Barocco Shimmering Gold Powder 1

Anyone remember the Clarins Barocco Collection for Holiday 2010?

I do, like it was yesterday!

Whatever happened to collections like this? Makeup and Beauty Collections focus on huge palettes and larger sets nowadays. What happened to those timeless, limited edition elegant makeup collections that focused on a few select pieces of makeup for eyes, lips, and cheeks?

I don’t mind those big sets! They can super fun! But I miss the elegance of a more similar, classier Holiday Makeup Collection sometimes.

Do you?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. estee lauder’s makeup edit holiday set has this gorgeous gold packaging. When my mom came home with it, I was so dazzled by their gorgeous packaging. The whole was only ~60 for 12 items which is a steal. I’ll post the pictures up on my blog soon

Not only do I miss special collection stuff like this, whatever happened to single eye shadows?!!? EVERY.BODY is making pallets these days to make you buy 6+ colors with maybe 2 that will probably not get much use. I’d SO much rather buy single colors. I don’t have to have some company tell me what colors I want. I know.
