5 New Highlighters to Drool Over

beautiful makeup highlighters

I have to tell you that I quit my highlighter collecting habits cold turkey. One day, I woke up, and I told myself, no more pretty little highlighters. My beauty vault was starting to become more and more filled up with gorgeous powders and highlighters that I never used.

And one day, except like this week when I ordered the Armani Chinese New Year Powder, I quit collecting them. But in my defense, the Chinese New Year Highlighter was like, to celebrate the Lunary Year and stuff. Yeah, that totally sounds legit!?

Right!?

RIGHT!?

Here are 5 New Highlighters to Drool Over but try not to buy them and don’t blame me if you do!

Armani Chinese New Year Highlighting Palette ($88)
If it was the Year of the Dragon and Armani did a Dragon Palette I’d probably be in more trouble than I currently am in! As I see myself purchasing two dragon compacts. Thankfully the monkey was appealing but not as appealing as a dragon yanno? Gold, bronze, and champagne pearls along with a monkey imprint make for dangerous territory for this obsessive pretty powder collector.

YSL Boho Stones Gypsy Opale Couture Palette ($47)
You’re probably a better person than I’ll ever ben if you can resist YSL’s glorious pastel highlighter powder that corrects uneven skin tone and brightens up your complexion.

Lancome My Parisian Shimmer Cube $59
If you’re on a highlighter ban you can technically get away with purchasing Lancome’s Shimmer Cube because it’s not just a highlighter! Use these nine shades as a blush and eyeshadow but don’t use them as a highlighter, ya know, so you feel less guilty about buying yet another pretty powder! That’s my mentality and I’m sticking to it!

Chanel Perles Et Fantaises Illuminating Powder $70
Add a luminous hint of pearl and pink to your complexion with this gorgeous palette.

Givency La Révélation Originelle Highlighting Powder $57
Give your skin a gorgeous fresh, radiant finish with this delicate lace motif imprinted highlighter powder.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Muse, you left out Burberry’s new highlighters. That gorgeous lace pattern…

I’m trying not to hoard all highlighters, so I’m glad these went out of stock yesterday. I’m secretly hoping they’ll be released at Sephora or Nordstrom. Haha!

The one thing that makes me not buy these is that they are way too pretty to use. For me, I wouldn’t want to mess up the pattern so I know I wouldn’t want to spend that kind of money on something I wouldn’t use. But you are correct in saying they are drool worthy!

Darn it Muse, you’re killing me. I formally request you stop tempting me with these posts. Don’t you know I love and need it all now! When my husband asks what’s in the bag, I’m going to tell him you made me do it!

I’m still trying to get my hands on the Dior highlighter- called 5 stores today and none of them had it! Grr…. The lady at Nordies said that they only received 3 of each color! Apparently stores should be getting shipments this week, but who knows. Now I’m looking at the Burberry Collection and it also looks tempting. I think I might need a second full-time job to support my makeup addiction.
