About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I’m SOOOOO happy to finally see the Essence Matte Shadows available!!!!!

Here’s hoping the new Essence formula is good. I’ll have to check it out. I hated the old formula.

Don’t forget that Rimmel is releasing their take on a contouring palette, too! It comes in three variations for Fair, Light/Medium, and Dark skintones!

I have to admit, though, after seeing them in person the only variation close to a true contour is tge Dark palette. The lighter two have contour shades that are actually very shimmery golden bronzers which are nowhere NEAR ideal for contouring.

Yeah! I mentioned those in my Rimmel Spring 2016 post! Plus the new eyeshadows too! and the Kate Moss Nude Lipstick! SO MUCH NEWNESS!

The Nude Collection by Kate Moss is freaking fantastic! I’ve had mine for a while now because I purchased it from the UK when it came out, and they are seriously the best nudes I have ever owned. I have literally worn #42 & #45 every single day since the day they came in the mail!

I was just thinking I’m a bit over lip crayons, but then I got to thinking how much I love the Revlon matte ones (and the Tarte, etc.) and now I want these from Ulta. Damn!

It’s great to see the DS brands putting out varying products. Let’s just hope that they are good.

Thanks for mentioning the NYX Primer Spray! I was curious about it. Have you used it in hot weather yet? I’m wondering how it stacks up against the MAC Matte Texture… a classic in my book for clients whose makeup needs to last 8 + hours.
