Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick ($2.99) are a cute, budget friendly sheer lipstick that provides a color, shine, a light hydration to lips quick and easy!

I love lipsticks like this as they are easy enough to apply quickly for a hint of color when you’re on the go or too busy to re-do your complete lipstick look.

Here’s my thoughts!

Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick (0.13 oz ) are available in nine shade selections and come housed in a lightweight plastic casing with a translucent top. These remind me of play lipsticks I had as a child! They are super light and super cute! I love how Essence embosses their lip products with their emblem, it’s a rather nice touch!

Essence Sheer & Shine Lipstick Swatches (Sparkling Miracle, I Feel Pretty, Candy Love)

You get exactly what they promise with these lipsticks. Lightly hydrating and sheer color! Nothing more, nothing less. Each lipstick provides a beautiful amount of color with a lightly hydrating feel and a subtle hint of shine. The formula applies easily and hugs lips in comfortable, lightweight color that doesn’t feel dry. I find the texture has a light balminess to it that wears comfortable for around three hours before color fades. Color isn’t intense but it is noticeable on lips so they aren’t completely sheer. They do have a sweet, sugary flavor and fragrance that I felt was very subtle.

For under three bucks these are pretty fab. They pack a nice bit of color on lips, provide light moisture, a hint of shine, and wears comfortably and smooth on lips for three hours. They prove a nice, cheap thrill for lovers of sheer, lightweight lipsticks!
