Lipstick Queen Seven Deadly Sins Lip Gloss Review & Swatches
The Lipstick Queen Seven Deadly Sins Lip Gloss ($24) Collection launched some time ago but I didn’t get a chance to review them as they kinda got lost in the shuffle.
Deadly Sin Lipgloss promises a rich color payoff with a non-sticky formula with a “ultra glossy” formula that hydrates and protects lips. For me, they are aconfusing product as I thought they were a traditional lipgloss formula but actually they are more of a liquid lipstick one!
Doesn’t matter though, I still love ’em!
Lipstick Queen Seven Deadly Sins Lip Gloss is a bit unique and special for the brand considering their specialty is in fact lipstick. It’s such a rarity they do lipglosses so I was quite excited to check these out. Technically they have some characteristics of a lipgloss but I find this formula is more of a liquid lipstick. I was disappointed at first but after using them a while I’m starting to really enjoy these.
This is a lightweight, full coverage liquid lipstick with a hint of shine. I find the texture velvety, soft, and lightweight. I’m not a fan of liquid lipsticks due to their matte, long wearing can’t remove it without an oil based cleanser formula. This formula is nothing like that. These have a very thin texture yet provide full pigmentation with a solid five hours of wear (sometimes longer depending on the shade). They do have a matte feel but oddly enough they also have a hint of shine. I find the applicator is a bit of a pain as it drags on my lips a little! I wish it was a little softer so I could spread color a little easier but all in all I really don’t mind layering with this applicator in the least since the formula is a pleasure to wear. As I mentioned the formula is quite weightless and it does not dry my lips out but it isn’t moisturizing either. The consistency is very, very pleasant on my drier lips with a smooth, soft appearance and as promised they are not sticky or tacky. For sensitive users they do have a subtle flavor, it kinda tastes rose to me?
Lipstick Queen proves again and again and again that they excel at creating some very good lip products, Seven Deadly Sins Lip Gloss are testimony to that! I love these, give them my Muse Approval, and think they are well worth checking out!
