Ralph Lauren Ralph Love Review
Put the new Ralph Lauren Ralph Love Eau de Toilette on your do not buy list. Ralph Love is a new, limited edition fragrance from the Ralph Collection of fragrances that’s inspired by a sun soaked day at the beach with your crush.
Mmm hmmm….
Apparently this contains a sweet pink cotton candy note and for me that was in fact what made a huge difference in the fragrance compared to the original Ralph. I should say I don’t like cotton candy or Pink Sugar-like fragrances however, combining the fruity sweet floral notes of Ralph with Pink Cotton Candy did intrigue me. I should know that curiosity killed the cat.
But I digress because maybe I should start this review by telling you what a great fan of the original Ralph I am and how it was probably one of my first real “big girl” fragrances. I feel like Ralph is so timeless as it traveled with me from high school to college and well into adulthood. I just love it. It’s been a while since I’ve worn it but I wake up some days and I think, “Hmm today is a good day to wear Ralph!” and I do exactly that. It’s such a fresh fruity little floral that has a little zing of freshness in the background that makes it smell like nothing else I own.
But Ralph Love?
I’m not understanding this!
So if you have the original Ralph fragrance in the blue bottle and you don’t currently need a refill there is absolutely no reason you should be purchasing Ralph Love. They are basically the same fragrances.
Yeah confused much? So am I!
This comes in the original blue box but has a little heart stamped on the front with “LOVE” printed within it. The bottle is a pale blushing pink and the juice inside seems to be pink as well but the blue top from the original Ralph remains the same. So ok, we got some different packaging here cool!
The fragrance for the most part to me smells just like the original Ralph but apparently it contains completely different notes like rose and cotton candy. For me, the difference between Love and the original juice is that Love sorta kinda lacks that zing-y freshness we get from the original. But honestly, if you really aren’t concentrating hard enough you likely won’t even notice anything difference between the two fragrances.
Can you say disappointed?
Ugh!
Ralph Love is a big old skip.
Don’t waste your money if your already own a full bottle of Ralph.
But if you absolutely must have it, get it now at Sephora.com.
