Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb1

Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb ($38) is one of the best skincare purchases I’ve made in a while. I can’t recall who but someone recommended The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb earlier this month, and I can’t thank you enough this stuff is fantastic.

Dry skin? You need Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb!

Belif The True Cream Aqua Bomb

Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb is one of those Korean skincare wonders that drenches skin long term moisture! My dry skin adores this formula and I can see myself buying this again and again and again.

When I tried this, I instantly thought this was like having my beloved Hada Labo Gokujyun Lotion in a gel moisturizer! This was created for normal, combination, and dry skin types but I think those with drier skin will benefit from it most. Apparently the formula not only moisturizers but also minimizes the appearance of pores. I don’t have visible pores myself aside from smaller ones on my nose so I can’t say if this does anything in regards to hiding pores.

As far as moisture, well, that I can speak about. They promote this formula as one that helps retain moisture for up to 26 hours, and they aren’t lying. This stuff keeps skin dewy and moist for quite a while well after application. Skin is smooth, soft, and well hydrated. My skin appears brighter since it dulls with dryness and this provides moisture enough that my skin is left looking very fresh and bright.

The cream’s consistency is a cross between a cream and gel moisturizer. This is quick to absorb and leaves skin plush and “bouncy” to the touch. Anyone who has used Hada Labo’s Lotions knows the exact “bouncy” feel I’m talking about. I was surprised that this was recommended to a variety of skin types as I felt it would be most fitting for drier skin since it does not only retain moisture but also keeps skin very moist throughout the day. At first application and a few hours after my skin felt soft and dewy to the touch. After 24 hours of wear my skin still felt very smooth, very soft, and very hydrated but not as dewy. It’s the skincare gift that keeps on giving as I honestly haven’t had the pleasure of using a moisturizer that just continuously provided moisture for such a long period without the need for reapplication.

It’s mineral oil free for those concerned with the ingredient, but I did notice a very subtle citrus fragrance in the background which I think might be the Lady’s Mantle as this does not contain synthetic fragrances.

All in all, Belif The True Moisturizing Bomb is a fantastic little moisture. It’s made me want to try the entire Belif Skincare Collection!

Thanks again to whoever recommended it to me!

Hi–I also have been impressed after getting a sample—feels cool and soothing and smooth. All good things! I am a big fan of Clinique’s Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief (what a name!) and love that too–gel like moisture. I need to do a half face comparison–one on each side and see what I see. Thanks for sharing about all these super products! Good Tuesday!

    • Isabella Muse

Happy Tuesday Elaine 🙂 Yay! Glad to see you like 😀 I like Clinique’s formula as well but this one was way more moisturizing imho!

      • Elaine

Yes, reading others–I have the Aqua one–blu-ish so may try the other one as well. 🙂

    Hi Muse,

I have been reviewing your site for years! Kudos on a job well done. Very informative and very aMUSing.

I just wanted to let you know that there’s a slight problem with your review, above. You are actually reviewing “The True Cream MOISTURIZING Bomb” but are calling it “The True Cream AQUA Bomb,” which is a different product. “Moisturizing” is white, and “Aqua” is aqua, or light blue colored. I think Belif needs to be more careful with packaging/labeling, as it’s easy to confuse the two products. I have tried both — got the Aqua Bomb as a sample, and loved it so much that I went to buy the full size during a Sephora bonus period. The Sephora guy accidentally gave me the Moisturizing Bomb! Discovered the mistake at home, after opening the jar and seeing white instead of aqua. Kept it anyway, and love both. Aqua Bomb is wetter, and more of a gel. Moisturizing Bomb is creamier, and slightly heavier. Both are great!

Thanks Sarah! You are correct. Sorry about that 😀 and thank you for being a long-time faithful reader <3!

Woe, thanks, and for 26 hrs and no mineral oils! This is a must try for me. In my basket it goes.

  • Rachel

Yaaaaay Muse, I’m so glad you liked it!! I asked you about trying it a few weeks back in a comment, so hopefully I can take credit for directing you to this awesome moisturizer! It’s amazing, isn’t it?! I am so in love! My skin seems to be calming down a bit and isn’t as dry as it was when I started using this (but not the oily mess it’s always been either), so I may check out the aqua gel one over the summer – I’ll let you know how it works out!! 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

THANK YOU! That was you! Sorry I knew someone told me about it and I wasn’t sure who! Thank you thank you thank you 🙂 I just actually ordered the aqua gel 🙂 too! I was tempted to try it out and see how it compared so I grabbed it!

I, too, am surprised how much I like this. I have super dry, dehydrated skin and this is one of the best I’ve tried. I would never have bought it because of the jar packaging but someone gave me a jar. I really wish it was packaged some other way so as the beneficial ingredients don’t degrade every time it’s opened.

I use the Aqua Bomb (blue) and LOVE it. Between that and the Boscia magical exfoliating peel, my skin is ridiculously happy.

  • kelsey

I loooove this so much!! I originally tried out the aqua bomb after seeing so many rave reviews & I love that one as well but this one has become my go too night cream. It kept my skin nourished through out the dry winter months in Ohio… I went from a flakey forehead to smooth skin!! I usually use the aqua bomb in the morning before makeup( I have more combo/oily skin) then this one in the evening. Great combo! 😀

  • celine D

I too got both as a sample at Sephora some time ago and ended up buying both and are loving them ! Nice hydration w/ no breaking out and or strong fragrance . Will also continue to re purchase in the future . Great winter time moisturizer also . Thanks for the great review
    Muse !!

I received a deluxe sample of this from Sephora and, while I liked it initially, after about two weeks I noticed I’d developed a couple of milia at the border of my cheekbone and eye socket. I hadn’t changed anything else in my routine, so this cream had to be responsible.

    • Isabella Muse

oh no!!!!!! No problems here thankfully! It’s been just about two weeks for me too.

  • Katherine T.

Muse, I have this Belief True Cream and love it, almost finished up the whole jar, which is very rare for me. I also have the Aqua Bomb one (blue gel), but don’t like it as much, as it’s a lot thinner, less moisturizing, but might be ok during summer or for those with combo/oily skin.

    • Isabella Muse

Hi Katherine I’m testing out the aqua one right now myself and experiencing the same! Nice and light but not nearly as moisturizing!

      • Katherine T.

The Aqua one is good for layering because it sinks in fast, so you can put other products (serums, retinols, etc) on top, so in the end, you can get enough moisture.

  • Marcy

Your link is incorrect. I went to purchase this from your link and it leads to the Aqua Bomb at Sephora, not the Moisturizing Bomb.

      • Marcy

That’s weird, it works fine for me now. I clicked on it like 10 times before and it always led to the Aqua Bomb. I gave up and just used the search on Sephora instead.

        • Isabella Muse

that’s very weird. Sorry?! I clicked only once and worked a-ok!!! I tried it again just now, looks good! I’m glad you found it, sorry for the probs!?

  • Carol

Hi! I hace a question. Which moisturizer is better for dry skin: Dr. Jart Ceramidin or this Belif true cream moisturizing bomb?
    Thanks
