Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom Review

Farmacy Lip Bloom

Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom ($16.95) is one of those rare lip balm that actually hydrate lips versus sitting around doing nothing at all. This herb-infused balm is available in six “flavors” with a nourishing formula that softens, smooths, and adds a good deal of shine to lips with blend of oils such as sunflower seed oil plus vitamin E.

Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom2

Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom comes housed in a La Mer-like packaging with a chic and simple white base pot and a mirrored lid. The pot holds 0.25 oz of lip balm for $16.95 and is available in six flavor variations. My Citrus Lemongrass formula had a bright, sunny lemon-y scent with a hint herbs in the background. It tasted very authentic tart lemons and was very pleasant in flavor and fragrance although it might not be a pick for sensitive users due to the fragrance and flavor.

Initially this formula is slightly disappointing as it feels like a very light, thin balm. It has a denser top layer but as you press into it the formula becomes a lot softer and a lot slicker on lips. The texture is a little waxy at first but as you apply it melts down into a soft, moist formula that behind a glossy finish on lips. It wears very comfortably on my dry lips and leaves them feeling very soothed so I’m not tempted to lick or bite at them because they are itchy and dry. After it wears away my lips feel lightly hydrated and soothed. I wore it for five days straight when my lips were chapped and red and it helped heal them nicely over that time.

Farmacy Citrus Lemongrass Lip Bloom is one of my new favorite lip balms and I will be purchasing more of these. I like how soothing these are for my lips! I like the light non-sticky, non-waxy consistency and adore the high shine and moist finish they leave behind!

Muse Approved.

This sounds amazing….but tragic…I see echinacea on the front of the packaging and I’m allergic ;_; none for me!

That is wonderful sounding. How does it smell? I would wear it if it smells like it sounds. I had a lotion that was that year ago. The smells of summer! 🙂 LOL can you tell I am over winter now?

It’s lemony 🙂 I actually mentioned the flavor/fragrance in my post! 😀 It’s quite yummy smelling! Haha! I am too, don’t feel bad! SO over the cold!

Everytime I go into a sephora, I always pop by the Farmacy section and put some of the lavender mint ones on my lips 🙂 I still have my Kari Gran lip whip to finish, but as soon as I’m done with that, I gotta get me some Farmacy!

How is it!? I only tried the Lemongrass but I really want the apple mint one, sounds yummy!

The lavender mint one is so lovely. i feel like lavender is one of those scents where it smells different at different stages. Fresh lavender (and i mean real fresh) smells very basily and so wonderful and then the standard lavender smells more floral. The lipbalm definitely had a basily undertone and I loved it!

Sounds lovely! I grabbed the apple mint, trying hard not to get more 😀

I have the strawberry basil one, and I simply love it. The scent is really subtle, but it’s reminiscent of fresh cut strawberries, with the sweetness tempered by a lovely herbal licorice basil note. I throw on a lip stain in the morning, and finish with this, and I’m good to go.

I was concerned, at first, at how fast I was going through the jar, but it’s really just that I got through that denser layer and into the softer stuff. I’ve used it every day for about a month, and I’m only about halfway through, so it’s lasting well!

And of course, after reading this, I now want the lemongrass one! I wish it was still cool to trade, like when I used to trade Bonne Bell chap sticks in first grade. 😉
