Fortune Cookie Soap Man With a Box Moisturize Me Lotion Bar

Fortune Cookie Soap Man With a Box Moisturize Me Lotion Bar ($9.99) is a limited edition bar moisturizer that launched with the Fortune Cookie Soap Man with a Box Doctor Who Collection. Don’t panic! Fortune Cookie Soap will restock this collection on March 12th for those of you who sadly didn’t get a chance to haul it and that restock will also include the Moisturize Me Lotion Bar.

For Whovians, MOISTURIZE ME! brings to mind one character and one character only, Lady Casandra O’Brien as voiced by Zoë Wanamaker aka Ariadne Oliver for Poirot geeks like myself.

Lady Casandra leaves a lasting impression on the beauty girls and guys out there because she happens to be the poster child for reasons why you want to avoid plastic surgery. Her life span was extended by a series of plastic surgery operations until the point she became nothing but a piece of skin (with a snarky mouth and eyes) stretched onto a frame. She chronically had to be misted with moisture or risk drying out. Remember kids, don’t go crazy with the plastic surgery less you turn into Lady Casandra at some point.

Fortune Cookie Moisturize Me Lotion Bar

Fortune Cookie Soap Man With a Box Moisturize Me Lotion Bar comes housed in a little tin with original artwork that’s a nod to Doctor Who. It smells like sweet gorgeous fresh peeled oranges and leaves behind a gorgeous fragrance when used.

Which reminds me, you’re likely wondering how does one use a lotion bar anyway because as you can see this is a solid bar of moisturizer! Fortune Cookie makes this one with organic beewax which seals in moisture. It’s quite sticky so you might want to avoid using it in the AM. I apply it on my elbows, knees, heels, and even my cuticles in the evening prior to bed. You want to rub it gently between your hands to warm it up a little but and after simply rub the bar on the areas you want to hydrate. It has a thicker consistency so it doesn’t have an easy glide and might drag a little during application. After applying simply go over the area with fingers and press firmly as you massage it in. It’ll leave your skin hydrated and beautifully scented. I find it leaves my hands a bit tacky so if I’m using it in the AM I keep a warm, wet wash cloth hand to wipe the access off my hands.

It’s quite wonderful on the drier areas of my body like my elbows, my heels, and my knees. It’s also great on my cuticles which tend to be dry and ragged. Since it’s quite dense it does last a very long time but if you want to make it a little more melt-y you can give it a very, very quick blast with your hair drier but be sure to have at least 12 inches or more of space between it and the tin because you don’t want to completely melt your bar!

Fortune Cookie Soap Man With a Box Moisturize Me Lotion Bar will be avaiable again later this March for a limited time on fortunecookiesoap.com when the Man With a Box Collection relaunches.

I just wanted to say thumbs up for mentioning Poirot. I will admit, I don’t watch the show, but both my parents do. Horray for British television!!
