Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color

I recently came across the new Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color at Walgreens, which are available in 12 shades. Those embracing the liquid matte lipstick trend should be quite happy about this launch as these are a budget friendly pick at $4.99 plus they come in some bright, vibrant shades.

Take a look!

When I first tried Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color (0.11 oz) I thought they were quite comparable to the new Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified Long Wear Matte Lipsticks as both have a thin, slow to set formula that wears all day.

Jordana’s formula should be a hit for those who love a long wearing formula that’s lightweight. It’s also a great formula for anyone who doesn’t suffer from drier lips. Personally, I don’t really need my lipstick to wear all day. I’m ok with touch ups when and if I need them. I feel a little weird, and uncomfortable eating with lipstick on and I also feel strange having the same application of lipstick on for eight or more hours. This can likely be chalked up as me being a weirdo, but I just don’t really like long wearing lipstick anything.

On that note, I will say I realize many people really love these new long wearing formulas and Jordana’s Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color does fall into the long wear lipstick group. This is a formula that doesn’t come off until you remove it and even then you might experience issues getting it off if you don’t use an oil-based remover.

The formula is quite thin and applies with a smooth, even finish that doesn’t fall into natural lip lines. It does take a moment to set but when it does it’s pretty much budge-proof. I had no issues with feathering, migrating, or smudging. The formula remains fairly smooth and very weightless for 12 solid hours which is how long I wore them before removing. I never felt they were sucking moisture from my lips and in all honesty, they felt like I had absolutely nothing on my lips at all. Both shades I purchased provided full coverage on a single application and were bright, bold, and vibrant with a smooth, matte finish that never looked shiny or glossy.

They do have a cherry plastic-y flavor or fragrance that’s very synthetic so sensitive users might wish to avoid.

I’m not huge on long wearing lipstick but at this price, I can’t deny Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color delivers an excellent formula at a very affordable price. Apparently they are even cheaper at Kmart for $2.99 each, but I purchased mine at Walgreens at $4.99 each.

I can’t find these! I’ve been to every Walgreen’s and Kmart around me — I’m seriously stalking them! They aren’t even on the Jordana website!

I know! Sadness! Try Ebay.com lots of sellers have all 12 shades for a value price or even one shade for like $3.99 and free shipping!

They seem to be up on the Jordana website now, but strangely you can’t find them through a Google search. You have to go to the website directly. It’s the weirdest thing.

I am obsessed with these. I bought one, wore it to a con all day, and it was still on my lips. It is very comfortable for me. I love the bright colors. I will find all 12. So good.

I hear you on not exactly wanting a super long-lasting formula. If it’s going to be a long day I’d rather perk myself up by switching shades and going for a tinted balm or a different shade of gloss, especially since I’m at the point where I practically have more lip product than brain cells. But I do have two of these and they’re pretty good. (I wish I could find the pink you have above because I love a vivid, matte fuchsia.)

I’m the same way! I just don’t want to commit to a single lip product all day! 😀

OMG those are great colors – BUT Matte lol 🙂 Matte is every where:P

I reviewed Tiramisu and the bright tangerine shade, and found that the bright shade lasted forever! Tiramisu, however, was one of those that flaked and pilled off as soon as you rubbed your lips together after it dried. It was awful.

oh no! I didn’t try that shade! Sucks to hear 🙁 I just tried the Too Faced ones and the formulas are kinda similar!

I’ve got one in my Sephora cart right now! It looks really promising. I recently tested the Makeup Revolution Velvet Lacquer and the shade I tried, Depravity, did the same thing as Tiramisu. I’m starting to think my lips are trying to lead a revolt against me getting back into blogging. “WE SHALL NOT BE USED LIKE THIS!”

I already have three of these. I love them, it’s not even about the price. They’re seriously one of the only liquid lipsticks that doesn’t irritate my ultra-sensitive skin. (ABH breaks me out 🙁 )

I have Creme Brulee and Mixed Berry Souffle. In the tube the Creme Brulee seemed like it would be a nudish color but when applied to my lips it’s a strong coral/pink??? How’d that happen????

It also has a scent that I can’t put my finger on.

Application wise I like how smooth it glides on my lips. It’s also a true matte.

It’s just so-so for me because of how the color applies on my lips and the scent.

I randomly picked one of these up and loved it. It’s the neon pink color, which I don’t wear very often, but for the price, it is excellent.
