Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish 7

I’m currently obsessed with Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish ($12) because my lips are dry and scaly and I can exfoliate them at my office and no one is the wiser. Pix Nourishing Lip Polish is a multitasking hydrating, shiny lip treatment does double duty as an lip scrub on the sly which launched with the new Pixi Skincare Collection for Spring 2016.

Take a look!

Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish

Pixi Nourishing Lip Polish is likely the first lip exfoliator that has an applicator which makes it easy to carry around with you and to casually apply at your desk at work. Promise no one will be the wiser your sloughing off dead skin from your lips, it’ll just look like you’re applying your lipgloss.

This is a thin, slick, clear transparent gloss that has tiny grains of sugar that act to gently exfoliate lips. It’s a funny little product as it feels and looks like a clear lipgloss with a ton of shine but if you run your tongue across your lips it feels grainy and sandy. You can actually leave it on if you want as the grains are not visible and unless you’re kissing someone no one will be the wiser that you have an exfoliating scrub on your lips versus a lipgloss. I think that’s kinda why I like it because I don’t have to tissue it off after I use it! I simply leave it on because it provides light moisture and shine to my lips.

The applicator is the real star of the show though. It’s a slanted applicator which has tiny spikes that act to gently buff your lips as you apply the product. I simply swipe the applicator across my lips a few times and this combined with the graininess of the formula will act to buff away flaky, dry skin. I buff it on using the applicator and a thin layer is left behind after which adds shine to my lips and light moisture. It’s a bit sandy but not uncomfortable so I just leave it to add moisture to my lips after my scrubbing! My lips are dry as heck at the moment and this did a great job smoothing them out and whisking away flakes while providing nice, light moisture.

I loved the fact that it has an applicator as that makes it perfectly portable. This is pretty unique as most lip scrubs come in little pots with a screw top lip making them not very travel friendly!

For sensitive users this has a sweet citrus-y flavor and fragrance I found pleasant but not be for everyone.

All in all I loved this little lip polish and thought it a great addition to my makeup bag.

If you have dry lips do pick it up!

Ooh! I just got my braces on two weeks ago (I’m, um… 29, right, 29). This looks perfect! I can’t believe how flaky my lips have gotten. Loving the stealth factor.

I like this too. It IS nice to be able to leave it on. Does the job in a gentle way.

Agreed! The fact I don’t have to wipe it off seems kinda cool to me for some reason 😀

The idea at least reminds me of the Mary Kay Satin Lips which comes in a tube. I’ll give this one a try! I hate scrubs in pots.

I just got the elf one but the bullet broke after the second time using it. 🙁 now this one will def be on my wish list

This might seem like a dumb question, but after it buffs off the dead, flaky skin and you leave it on without wiping, aren’t the skin flakes left trapped in the gloss on your lips? I wonder how that would affect the application of another lip product over it, as I typically exfoliate before applying a drier formula lip color.

Not dumb at all lol! I actually don’t put anything over it as it’s super glossy! I wipe off if I’m applying gloss/lipstick on top!

This is SO much cheaper than here in the UK!! I just checked and this sells for 14 in the UK (even direct from the Pixi website) and I clicked your link through to Target and the US price comes to 9.
That’s ridiculous and has made me seriously rethink buying Pixi products here. I think the company is actually English too!
I wonder why we have so high a mark up?

I bought this last night on your recommendation.

I have not been a Pixi fan but I am really liking this product!

I am very happy to hear it Jan 🙂 Some of the skin treats were quite nice releases 😀 Enjoy! Btw, chapstick has a new lip scrub too! It’s fab! and only five bucks 😀
