Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil Summer 2016

Finally! Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil ($39) are now available. I’ve been waiting and waiting for these to finally launch. With the success of Lancome’s Miracle Cushion Liquid Cushion Compact Foundation it isn’t any surprise that the brand decided to take the cushion makeup trend and run with it. For Summer 2016, Lancome has released a selection of cushion blushes! This isn’t really a new or unique idea by any means as many brands in Korea have a range of cushion blushes including Etude House, Iope, and many others.

But this is the first cushion blush for the US market with plenty more to follow soon I’m sure including the L’Oreal Cushion Blush we should be getting soon at drugstores!

Lancome’s Cushion Blush Subtil has been getting raving reviews across the board as it is already available within Asia. This vibrant fluid blush is suspended in a cushion and adds a fresh, bright tint to cheeks.

Shades include:

  • Splash Caramel
  • Rose Sorbet
  • Sorbet Grenadine
  • Cerise Givree
  • Sorbet Grenadine
  • Splash Orange
  • Splash Corail

Not all shades are yet available at Sephora but Macy’s does!

Lancome Cushion Blush Subtil is available now at Sephora.com and Macys.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I want to try these! I need to use cream but I don’t like cream blushes – hoping these will be a good compromise !

    Thanks!!

It is interesting how cushion formats are the new rage, but in fact years ago, Almay came out with a very small selection of cushion foundation and blushes. I can’t remember the name of the line, but it lasted a year or two and then was discontinued. The foundation was very sheer, as was the blush–very hard to get color payoff for the blush. Maybe Almay was just way too ahead of the times. Flash forward and now everyone is launching a cushion whatever. I suppose this is the sort of thing that makes company product development bitter. It should have been a wild success but it just sputtered out! So I have to be a little amused but also sad when I see the whole cushion bandwagon. Almay was at least a decade ahead of this latest bunch, but alas: the time just wasn’t right and the world wasn’t quite ready.
