Lipstick Queen Eden Is A Delightfully Juicy Red

Lipstick Queen Eden2

Lipstick Queen Eden ($22) is a delightfully juicy red that will make for perfect Spring lips when you want to go a bit lighter with your lipstick. I always think of red lipstick as something to be worn in the evening but not so much in the day. I’m even a little wary of wearing it to a meeting or to meet a client as it seems a little too bright sometimes and not entirely appropriate.

And add in the fact that I’m not always comfortable in red lipstick and sometimes feel like I look like a clown and well, I’m not always up for wearing red.

That’s where Lipstick Queen Eden comes into play. This sheer yet wearable shade of juicy apple red is perfectly subtle for that power meeting and still delightfully playful for a night out.

Take a look!

When Eden released a lot of fans were like, “But I already have Medieval!” Doesn’t matter, you still need Eden! The shades are different. Medieval is a blood red shade where as Eden is more of an apple red with a pink undertone. Eden is much more playful and flirty!

Now Eden does make an appearance in the Saint Lipstick Queen Collection but I don’t own that shade so I’m unsure if this version of Eden is newly packaged yet the same shade as the one from the Saint Collection. Just keep that in mind prior to a purchase as you might want to compare your shade of Eden to the new version if you already own it!

This comes housed in a bright apple red barrel with Lipstick Queen’s logo decorating the cap and her initial’s printed on the inside. If you own a few of the special edition lipsticks like Frog Prince, Hello Sailor, Queen Bee, etc…I’m sure the package will be a nice little addition to your collection!

The formula is simply amazing but I really didn’t expect anything less from the brand. Truly you get what you pay for with Poppy’s lipsticks as they are all formulated beautifully. Eden has a soft, moisturizing feel that applies with a slick, lightly emollient glide on lips. The finish has a juicy, glossiness with a high shine which is lightly moisturizing through the 5 hour wear. I had no issues with color migrating or feathering and it remained pleasantly moist through the wear. The shade is sheer yet leaves behind a lovely wash of apple red on my lips. It’s a shade of lipstick for all of us that fear wearing red!

All in all Lipstick Queen Eden is truly a gorgeous little red lipstick for Spring and Summer wearing. It’s also a red lipstick you’ll happily reach for daily without the fear of looking like a clown. Anyone can wear this red as it imparts beautiful shine and just a touch of perfect red on lips!

Thank you for the review. I was curious if this was more sheer like Medieval, but it looks like it’s got more pigment. I was curious, too, because online she says it has a tiny bit of green shimmer, which I found intriguing. This looks very nice and wearable. I was hoping to resist Poppy for a bit longer, and I’m not sure I’ll be able to now.

My pleasure! Medieval is indeed a bit more sheerer! It does! But you can’t see it very much on my lips. But in the tube it is visible. It’s hard to resist anything she does :-/ Everything she puts out I feel like I need!

Ugh. I thought I wouldn’t be spending all that much, but I love all of LQ’s sheer-ish/tint/moisturizing lipsticks (oh and the shimmery ones). Now I have to get this one, too! Looks great on you, Muse.

    • Isabella Muse

Likewise! I just adore some of her lighter formulas 😀 thank you!!!!!!!!!

This just got delivered to me this morning!! Along with the Frog Prince gloss (my bday was on Monday so of course I justified the purchase). I haven’t tired this one yet, but I slapped the gloss on as soon as the box hit my desk this morning and am LOVING it! Did you see that Hello Sailor is 50% off on Ulta today?? I may have purchased…

Of course I need this because my daughters name is Eden and I buy anything with her name on it! It doesn’t hurt that I love red lipstick!

Looking online at some other reviews while waiting for my budget to reset in May…wonder if this is a repackage/repromote? I see a lot of online reviews for a LQ Saint shade called “Eden” that looks very similar. But now there is no LQ Saint shade called “Eden,” at least not on the LQ official site…

yeah! I don’t have the original Eden so not sure if it is or isn’t the same shade! curious minds, one of the reasons I mentioned it in my review!
