Tarte Double Duty Beauty Foundation Brush & Spatula

The Tarte Double Duty Beauty Foundation Brush & Spatula ($30) is a new foundation brush designed and created for use with the Tarte Empowered Hybrid Gel Foundation in mind. This a double-ended brush that has a slanted foundation brush on one side for buffing in product and a small spatula on the other which can be used to scoop foundation out of the jar without having the touch it.

Let’s take a look!

I should start this review by review by saying I tend to favor my fingers when applying foundations and BB Cream but I honestly thought that the was a handy tool to have around! First off the Double Duty Beauty Foundation Brush & Spatula has a tiny hook that acts as a spatula to scoop foundation out of the jar. This is great as I have to admit I prefer my foundation in pump bottles or tubes. I tend to get these little spatulas a lot with many of my Korean skincare purchases but I tend to lose them. I love that this attached to the brush as I’ll never lose it plus add in the fact that I never have to touch the foundation with my fingers and I’m a happy girl!

But the real joy here is the slanted foundation brush. This has super soft yet dense bristles that allow for a beautifully smooth, airbrushed finish application on skin. The foundation formula is quick to absorb and blend out easily anyway so the brush might seem an indulgent little purchase. But I’d recommend it regardless since it not only quickens application but also does a really good job giving that super second-skin finish that’s natural and airbrushed in appearance.

The Tarte Double Duty Beauty Foundation Brush & Spatula can definitely change my mind about using my fingers to apply foundation!

Loves it!

I might be the minority here, but I feel like a spatula for my foundation…. just sounds like I’m using spackle. It is nice to keep the bacteria out of the jar though. And I do love Tarte (but their foundations are all too dark for me ha)

I love this brush/spatula duo! I’ve been using the spatula end for my skincare products that come in tubs (Philosophy Miracle Worker, some Shiseido stuff) and it’s great. I’ve also used it for scooping out some Lush lotions.

Ooooh! What a fancy lil’ gold scoopy spoon! I actually really like that feature since it’ll help keep products sanitary.
