Tarte The Eye Architect Liner & Shadow

Tarte The Eye Architect Liner & Shadow ($24) is a new dual-sided eyeshadow and eyeliner that launched with the Ulta Tarte Double Duty Beauty Collection for Spring 2016.
What is it with double-ended makeup products? They are so terribly appealing to me for not only travel for also ease of storage because lord knows I’m running out of places to store makeup lately!

Tarte The Eye Architect Liner & Shadow is one of those great travel-friendly eyeshadows that keeps not only your eyeshadow but also your eyeliner in one place so you can give yourself a smoky eye look on the subway to work in a few seconds with a single pen! No digging around for your eyeliner and your eyeshadow.

Now if someone would create a three way pencil that also contained mascara I’d be in heaven!

Tarte The Eye Architect

I’m all about simpler eye looks lately! Using six eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara, etc..in a single eye look when it’s 5AM and you’re not really fully awake yet even after a shower can sometimes prove challenging.

There are so many days I wish I had the tools to just create something simple yet awesome in a single swipe.

That’s where products like Tarte The Eye Architect Liner & Shadow come into play!

This is a dual-sided pen that housed a matte eyeliner on one side and a soft, sponge applicator on the other that holds a shimmering, silky eyeshadow. I can create a smoky eye look with one of these in a few seconds if anyone wants to time me.

The eyeliner is a bit denser but it smudges easily enough and wears like a beast without smearing or smudging due to the long wearing matte finish. It isn’t the smoothest most creamiest eyeliner on the planet but it is a super long wearing one so if you have issues with smudging eyeliner or formulas that don’t last on your waterline this is most definitely your BFF.

My favorite part of the duo is the powder eyeshadow. This is loaded up from the barrel of the cap which has a spring mechanism that bounces against the applicator when the cap is replaced and this in turn allows shadow to flow onto it. There’s a bit of fall out to contend with during application but the formula is quite lovely with a silky consistency that blends wonderful and has a nice hint of sparkle on lids and excellent pigmentation.

You can wear the shadow alone on your lids and a little liner on your waterline or you apply the eyeliner first and smudge it up with a little shadow on top. Application possibilities are limitless with this little duos and the results are quick and awesome with each use.

Thanks for saving me a ton of time, Tarte when applying my eye makeup!

Do love!

Hmm, I wonder if this eyeliner will last on my wet waterline. Kind of worried about the shadow, looks kind of loose….

Oh, wow! I don’t use liner but I like the colors of those two lighter shadows!

These are really pretty and such universal colours that I think would prove very useful. Lovely on you Isabella.
