The Body Shop Long Lasting Lip & Cheek Stain

There aren’t a lot of things you can depend on in life. But you can always depend on the Body Shop for having the same exact Lip & Cheek Stain year after year after year after year. The formula hasn’t changed, the packaging hasn’t changed, it’s been the same for the last 500 years or so. That last part might have been exaggeration.

I will say for the Holidays they surprise us with the little doll Lip and Cheek Stain which I love. It’s such a great stain and gives such a lovely glow to skin and I think it’s even better than the original formula. This year, it wasn’t a doll but the formula remained the same with a pretty gold sheen and a natural peach shade!

Unfortunately, sometimes the things we depend on most change but it can be a good thing. That’s why I’m pretty damn excited that the Body Shop now has an entire collection of shades in their Lip & Cheek Stain Collection and it looks like a new formula too (as well as new packaging)!

The Body Shop Long Lasting Lip & Cheek Stain ($16) is available now in not one, not two, not even three but 9 vibrant shades! Yup! True story!

This formula promises 12 hours of lightweight staining action that can be used as a blush or a lip stain. It contains Community Trade Aloe to give the formula a soft, moisturizing consistency as well as Vitamin B5.

Shades includes:

  • Dutch Tulip
  • Dark Cherry
  • Deep Berry
  • Dusty Rose
  • Bright Peony
  • Pink Hibiscus
  • Red Pomegranate

I really want to try these. I’m a big fan of the Holiday cheek stain but I have to admit the permanent one isn’t my favorite formula. I’m hoping these new ones are as good as the Holiday one!

Get them now in stores or online at www.thebodyshop-usa.com.

I had a good chuckle over the 500 years exaggeration XD. I am a huge fan of Body Shop skin care and bath products, but never tried their make up, they just don’t look appealing to me…now I am curious!

lol! It’s true! Their cheek stain has been the same formula and packaging for hundreds of years now! It’s nice to see a change 😀 Some of their makeup is good but really depends! Hit or miss 🙂

Well…very happy to hear this news but about 20 years ago (no exaggeration) the body shop had a purpley/plum version of their lip/cheek stain. I actually still have it for color comparison purposes although it is effectively water now. It was the GREATEST color! It really looked like my ideal version of perfect lips, which regardless of ethnicity, are a kind of pinky/mauvey healthy color. This color existed for about a nanosecond and was gone… So maybe one of the new colors will resemble my HG lipstain… fortunately there’s a store near me!

9 shades?! WOAH. Been using the OG version for years. I like it even better than Benetint!

That’s a nice surprise. The colors were never anything exciting before but the staying power was nice and impressive and not too drying.

It is! I’m happy because their holiday stain is really good so hoping for the same with these!
