About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. I need a 12 step program. Caved and bought this earlier today. Sigh.

But it kinda sorta fits in with what we were saying yesterday about more neutral, natural colors. In fact, I’d say this has more of a Fall vibe, no?

    • Isabella Muse

likewise! It’s really pretty and I’m hoping for more natural looks with it. Dare I say I was happy 11 of the shades were matte!? I agree! Very Fall! But hey, I’m a Fall baby so bring on the Fall shades 😀 I hope we like it!

    • Susan

Good point; it does have a fall vibe! I’m a fall baby too. Can’t have too many pumpkin & apple colors in the fall.

    • Sjofna

Yes, it screams fall to me! These are the types of colors I’ve been trying to hunt down too. I’ve never bought one of her palettes before, but I have some Ulta points to spend so I’m excited for this.

  • Susan

Wow, this looks great for summer. And so many mattes, too. Tempting, very tempting! Think you’ll like this one better than TF’s Sweet Peach Palette?

  • Krutika

Holy moly! The colors in this are like my go to jam.. Sigh why do they do this to us :/

Also muse, have you tried the illuminating concealed from Amazing cosmetics? Wanted to know your thoughts on that..

    • Isabella Muse

I haven’t it 🙁 I did try the Hydrating one, did you try that? It’s great! Just wish the color selection was better!

  • Nicole

See, now this is a palette I can get behind. so pretty! I need to see some swatches, but I think I’ll be getting this one.

  • Jay

I NEED IT!!! I wish there was a mid-toned brown slightly lighter than Cyprus Umber for my transition, but I guess I own enough staple transition shades. This palette is so beautiful. ABH is killing me! I don’t have any pink shades like these so it’s different enough to justify a purchase 🙂

  • Cathy

wow!! what happened to the price??? Self Made with 14 shades was $35 and this one is $42 that’s a huge increase! I know if you compare it with other brands is still on the average amount. I do like the colors and I might buy it. I am weak for make up!

    • Elmaria

I was thinking the exact same thing when I read the price! It is only $3 a pan, which is a deal. Hopefully, they won’t continue to increase the prices of their palettes though. The issue is they know we’d buy it even if it did!

  • Rachel R.

If the reviews on this are good, I’m getting it. I love the colors.

  • VioletGray

Looks pretty but I see a lot of overlap with the peach palette . i’d like it but pass

  • Carrie

Sheesh. I want this for the names haha. Although, it *does* have colors I would wear.

  • Maria

Would like to know the total ounces net weight of this palette. Previous post said the pans were larger. Thanks.

  • Denise

Any idea when this will be coming to ULTA? I want to use my points for it.

  • Maria

Muse. I am curious of your swatches and review of this palette. I guess you purchased it. Thanks. I am trying to not buy any more palettes but this one is tempting me.

    • Isabella Muse

hi Maria I just got it yesterday so haven’t had a sec to swatch it yet, planning to do so shortly! Definitely trying to get to it as quick as possible 🙂

  • Maria

Hi Muse. I called ABH and asked them about size of palette. The lady said each pan is 7 grams. I converted 7 grams to ounces. It is 0.0247 each pan and there is total of 14 shades for a total of 0.3458 ounces. When you get a chance, you can check the box label. Thanks.

    • Isabella Muse

Thanks Maria, I posted about the size in today’s review hope this helps!
