L'Oreal's New Summer 2016 Lumi 1

For Summer 2016, L’Oreal has a repromote display featuring the new True Match Lumi Cushion paired up with True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illuminators, Powder Glow Illuminators, Magic Lumi Concealer, and Magic Lumi Primer.

I think I’m getting old as I can’t recall seeing the primer before this and I know the concealers were floating around a year or two ago but not sure if they are permanent.

I know a lot of people really like this collection so seems about right to promote it with L’Oreal’s new cushion foundation. But yeah, I’ll say it again, I wish it was their cushion blushes….!

Hopefully those arrive soon in the US!

More photos after the jump!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I LOVE that primer. I’m not really sure how well it is as an actual primer, but I love mixinng a half pump of that Magic Lumi primer into my foundation for a dewy glow. It’s also great as a subtle highlighter. On makeup-free days, I even mix a half a pump into my moisturizer. Love it.

I wasn’t sure if the primer was repromoted or not. I remember it years and years and years ago! I never tried it though!

I also got that primer when they came out with the cushion foundation. They work very well together.

The Magic Lumi primer launched back in 2012 along with the concealers. It’s actually quite relevant now that a lot of brands are coming out with similar products (like Hourglass) and I love mixing it with foundation for a little glow. As a primer it doesn’t do much other than making your skin feel a little softer and more glowy (but it doesn’t fill in pores or lines). It’s very thin, lightweight and lotion-like.

I sorta kinda remember the concealer but can’t recall trying it! I’m getting old 🙂

Both the primer & concealed have been around for a while, but I’ve never tried either. No matter where I go, both are either OOS, or have been opened by some moron… Seriously, if one is too cheap to take a chance on it (I mean, how bad could the product really be…?), at least “sample” one that has already been opened…

Well, at least with these new displays, and a well monitored CVS near me, I’ll *finally* be able to try them!

Thanks for the pics Muse. I had no idea it was a concealer, this whole time I thought they were highlighting pens. Now I wonder just how good they are at concealing and if they settle into lines.

they are actually good for contour work mostly as they are a concealer slash highlighter so above the cheek bone and below the eye socket is best 🙂 produces a sort of strobe.

Primer has been around for a while–I only know BC I hear it works as a great subtle highlight and can be mixed…but have not purchased yet BC I am afraid it will break me out.
