Sweat Cosmetics Twist-Brush + Mineral Foundation

I have my reservations about a makeup brand called Sweat Cosmetics. Hmmm…! So yeah, stinky pits do come to mind for some reason or another. I’d say that was my inner teenage boy talking though because you mention things like sweat, farts, and vagina and suddenly, my inner boy starts laughing his head off hysterically.

Shrug.

I mean sweat? Really? A bunch of people sat around a table, brainstormed, and came up with the brand name “Sweat”! Hmmm! But there’s a method behind their madness as the brand was created by athletic women for active women. I’m active but I’m not an athletic. For the record, I was always picked last for dodge ball and I was always the one hiding behind the gym mat hanging from the wall with my best friend John because we were apparently an easy target to bash the ball with. If he wasn’t gay I’d probably have married him as we bonded so closely behind that mat on dodge ball days.

Currently Sweat Cosmetics is on my try list though!

Sweat Cosmetics Twist-Brush + Mineral Foundation ($42) is a lightweight water and sweat proof mineral powder with SPF 30 that comes housed in a refillable, twist up brush (refills are $24 each).

Honestly, mineral foundation and I don’t get along very well. Bismuth, which is found in Bare Minerals Foundation, makes me itchy like crazy. I tend to avoid mineral foundations now because of that. Plus add in the fact I have drier skin and it’s all about running as fast and as hard as I can from that dodge ball mineral powder.

But Summer’s here and I get a bit shiny during the warmer weather and I like using a light weight buffing of powder on my face. This formula promises to provide breathable coverage and remains water and sweatproof for up to 40 minutes. If you’re working out or playing harder than 40 minutes I can’t help you there!

Sounds interesting right?

Perhaps oily skin users might love this one.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. this chubby girl was always picked last for dodge ball too. I’m a glasses wearer and those little sh!ts used like to hit me in the face.

omg stop! the face? Those bastards! Typically it was always my knees/feet or my stomach. Everyone went for the sucker punch when using that damn ball! It was like being kicked in the nuts when someone slammed the ball into your stomach. I dunno who the a$$ was that created dodgeball but he/she should be locked into a gym and hit with a ball over and over and over again!

right in the tender bits! I used to freaking HATE gym more than usual because of this BS! Even though it was supposedly against the rules to hit in the face, those little bastards did it anyway and they “didn’t mean to” and “She’s so small and we miss aimed” My ass.

HAHA yes this is my experience too! And gym teaches seem to relish it and encourage it even!

I’m so not athletic and I was always getting hit with balls in gym class. Volleyballs always seemed to target my head.

The name of this brand is really odd to me. I don’t think it’s for me anyway.

I was on the Vball team and was actually good at it but dodgeball, total loser haha! 😀

I was also picked last for gym when I was a youngster, but I’ve become far more athletic (and intimidating) in my recent years. I like these types of powders for a mid-day sunscreen touchup, so I may try it out. I also have oily skin, so it might work for me.

Omg sweat proof face makeup! Yes please! If it actually works then I am all over this. I’m on medications that have weird side effects & one makes me overheat. Add the fact I’m in Louisiana in the summer heat and humidity and my face sweats a LOT. It is very embarrassing. It is also super annoying BC I love makeup so much but it is hard to wear in the summer at all.

I’m going to try this if the shade matches my skintone and it’s available in Canada. It gets warm during the summer months and I move around a lot at my job.
