Kleenex Eye Makeup Removers Review

Kleenex Eye Makeup Remover Pads

I’ve been using Kleenex Eye Makeup Removers Pads ($4.99/60 pads) to remove my eye makeup since last week. These are a new oil-free pad that’s infused with a pro-vitamin complex that removes mascara, eyeshadow, etc…easily.

Did I ever tell you I’m the frugal gourmet when it comes to eye makeup remover? I love Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover but I cringe at spending $30 for it. “Oh! New $50 Guerlain Lipstick, give me all the shades!” “$30 eye makeup remover? STHU! No way!” I have no idea where my twisted logic comes from. I guess because at least the lipstick will last me a while but I have to replace eye makeup remover quite often and at $30 bucks a bottle that can add up!

So, I’m always looking for cheap eye makeup remover but the universe is out to get me because when I find one I like such as Clean & Clear Eye Makeup Remover and Milani Instant Eye Makeup Remover, it gets discontinued.

Needless to say I’m terribly happy about Kleenex Eye Makeup Removers! Totally cheap, budget friendly, and remove eye makeup pretty easily.

Kleenex Eye Makeup Removers come housed in a refillable plastic container. I was waxing poetry the other day about how cool I found the rather chic, modern packaging on Kleenex’s new skincare line. The clear plastic container is sturdy and looks quite clean and lovely on my bathroom vanity. Refills can be purchased for $4.99 and that gets you 60 eye makeup remover pads. Or you can fill the container with cotton pads, q-tips, etc…if you aren’t repurchasing.

These are great little pads if you don’t wear waterproof mascara. Don’t get me wrong they actually work well breaking down waterproof mascara but they may leave behind a little excess! This isn’t too much of an issue if you’re washing your face with a cleaning oil or balm after! They do their best work swiping away non-waterproof mascara and eyeshadow. The pads are nicely saturated but not soaking wet. I WISH they were a little bigger and also wished they were square in shape as I struggled a little with the design of the pad and felt like I had to use three pads for my two eyes since they were a bit smaller. It’s a pretty design but a square would cover more eye area. I wiped away harder to remove eyeshadow without an issue and if I used two pads for an eye I was able to easily remove waterproof mascara as well.

These are great for travel as no one wants to carry around a big old bottle of eye makeup remover. These are pre-soaked which makes them an excellent travel buddy.

Granted, they won’t replace my bottle of bi-phase makeup remover but I thought they did a might fine job breaking down eye makeup easily and quickly without drying my eyes out!

Get them now at store.kleenex.com. You can get a $5 coupon if you take a survy on Kleenex’s site which will basically get your a free jar of these!

Thanks but no thanks – my Clinique take the day off works well for me now 🙂

I also love Bifacil, but somehow (maybe read a review somewhere) I happened upon the Rimmel eye makeup remover and it’s just the bomb, product AND price. I got some micellar water, Simple & Garnier, that work pretty well, but the Rimmel is my go-to for all eye makeup. I can’t recommend enough.

Rimmel? Really? I have to check that out! I don’t think I even knew they had makeup remover!

I didn’t know Kleenex made face care products! I’ll be on the lookout for these; I like budget eye makeup removers.
