Hydrating Cleansing Oil

The happy news about Simple Hydrating Cleansing Oil ($12.99) is it’s finally here and I have a feeling I’m going to love it. The sad news is it launched with really poor packaging.

Please, people of the skincare world, don’t launch cleansing oils without a pump. K, thanks! Do you recall how much I love Origins Clean Energy Gentle Cleansing Oil and how annoying I found the pour bottle? And later on realizing I had to buy a pump separately from Origins? Seriously?

Same problem with Simple but they aren’t even offering a separate purchase! The new Hydrating Cleansing Oil arrives in a pour or squeeze bottle if you will. For me, this is a horrible packaging idea for cleansing oil. It’s just too messy to pour cleaning oil! I personally find it easier to pump it.

But, ranting aside, here’s the deets on Simple Cleansing Oil!

Create with pure grape oil and enriched with Vamis A & E this simple yet hydrating cleansing oil removes makeup easily without leaving skin dry or tight!

I’m looking forward to checking it out!

Grab up now at Ulta.com.

I was so excited when I saw this! I have combo skin so I’ve been using micellar water to remove my makeup before I wash my face at night but my skin gets drier in the winter so I was looking into getting a cleansing oil when the weather changes. Most other drugstore cleansing oils have mineral oil in them. I use mineral oil to polish my wood furniture, I don’t think I wanna put it on my face! I was thinking of getting burts bees cleansing oil but this is cheaper and if the ingredients check out I’m gonna grab it next time there’s a sale at Ulta!

I’m looking forward to trying it! But I HATE the packaging grrr! But I can always just pour it into another bottle! no biggie 😀

I like their foaming cleanser and micellar water so I may have to try this. So far I’ve been disappointed with American cleansing oils but I hate having to order my favorites from Korea and Japan as I tend to run out before I remember to reorder it. The last time that happened I had to use Neutrogena’s cleansing oil and my face was a mess for weeks afterward.

I hear yoU! I dislike having to remember to order before I run out. I tend to buy something in bulk when possible so, I don’t run out!!!!

ARGH! A thousand times ARGH for the fliptop bottle!! I have several bottles of cleansing oil to get thru, but I keep buying it (because…. well…. because!) Now I hafta add this to the list and the Palmer’s Cleansing oil too! Have you tried the Palmers one, Muse? I keep hearing it’s good for dry skin, so I will likely hold off til autumn/winter for that one, and will wait for Simple coupons for this one… that’s kinda pricey for a DS cleansing oil!

thank god someone agrees because flip top bottles are just dumb, amen, period. haha! I haven’t! I was holding off to see if I can grab it in store as if I get it from Ulta or drugstore.com I’m bound to spend 200 on stuff I don’t need lol!

no pump = no purchase. ugh.

Any ideas why none of your posts are showing up in my bloglovin’ feed since you’ve been back from vacation? According to bloglovin’, your last post was 20 days ago!?

I’ll purchase but I’m still going to be all kinds of peeves about the lack of a pump! Boo! Sorry! I’m not sure what happened but it is working now! Thanks for letting me know! I didn’t even notice until you mentioned it!

I will save my Julep oil cleanser bottle and pour this into it. Problem solved.

I love this brand and used it faithfully in my younger days. But I completely agree with you and the readers above, no pump = great mess + annoyance. Even some of the HE brands with their moisturisers etc do not always have a pump. Expecting the customer to buy a pump is outrageous. Shame on you Origins.

I hear you on the packaging but after 4 or 5 uses I LOVE the cleansing oil. I usually use the Clinique one, I’m actually thinking I now prefer the Simple.

I need to try it! It sounds good! I can always just pour it into another bottle 😀

A friend of mine just started repping Perfectly Posh, and she sold me on their cleansing oil (it’s called Olive My Love which makes me smile every time). It doesn’t have a pump, either, but you have to shake the bottle to get the oil to come out, and then it comes out one drop at a time, but it doesn’t splatter. I find I don’t mind it too much!

It’s, like, twice the price of the Simple one, though, so maybe I’ll give Simple a shot when I’m done with PP. 🙂

That’s such a cute name! I gotta try that 😀 I still like the pump though 😀
