Cleaner Sticks, Blur Sticks, Blush Sticks, and Beauty Stick Everything

cleanser and beauty sticks

Cleanser Sticks, Blur Sticks, Blush Sticks, Contour Sticks, Highlighter Sticks, everything seems to come in a portable stick lately and the trend is taking the beauty world by storm.

I predicted blush sticks would take over the beauty world but in reality it seems that beauty stick anything is going to dominate the beauty world for a little while. I mean what’s not to love right? They look fun, but I dunno how practical they’d be. Maybe for travelling, one would be nice – it wouldn’t leak!! I’m intrigued by the Tarte one, I have to say….Wish it was about half the price! I’d indulge if it were.

Someone needs to come up with a whole line of stick cleaners, makeup – whatever, and call it “Stick it!” 😀

I should delete this comment Kim! Someone is going to steal your idea and become a millionaire ;-D

I just got the Tarte stick and I like it so far. I use it for second cleansing. So it’s really not getting as dirty as us OCD people think. it is a little pricey for what you get though. But, honestly I bought it for the novelty of it. Turned out ok.

haha I love you jennifer! “It isn’t as dirty as us OCD people think”

I think they’re great for travel – especially substitutes for things that would normally be liquid. Then you have less things that have to go in that quart bag to go through security.

I got a blush stick in one of my ipsy bags and I HATE it, it just rubbed off my makeup underneath (the brand was Trestique). Maybe the concept of stick blush was too new to me and I just didn’t take the time to consider the application process, or maybe the formula is just not good, probably both. But one of my absolute HG items is a stick and I can’t believe I’ve never seen/heard anyone talk about it. It’s the Tarte Colored Clay CC Primer. It’s a stick of skin colored clay that also a stripe of purple and a stripe of green (hence the CC). I don’t usually use it as a primer, I use it in place of foundation when I just want a light/lazy makeup day. I’m obsessed with it!

aw that stinks! Guess that’s one I can cross off my list! Oh yeah, that’s an older one, I reviewed it a while back ago 🙂

  • Eden Mugg

Yes! Everything should be available in stick form-with a travel size version of course!

  • Kara Skofstad

I really love Julep’s detoxifying cleansing stick. I rub a bit on to my fingers and then massage into my skin. It does an excellent job of removing makeup and doesn’t dry out my skin.

Ellis Faas’ system, though pricey, is jet set elegant. All the product are housed in slender sticks. A cylinder to hold all the sticks is also available.

gosh I haven’t thought about Ellis Faas in years! They are indeed elegant!
