Guerlain 5 Couleurs Eye Palette

The new Guerlain 5 Couleurs Eye Palette ($69) for Fall 2016 are available in a gorgeous array of Fall friendly shades. Each eyeshadow palette features a five shade selection one of which acts as a base to smooth eyes and highlight the highbrow array. There are also two nude shades and two smoky shades that can be combined to create a variety of day and night looks. The shades range in finish from matte to satin to metallic with light reflecting pigments that give the eyes a brighter appearance.

I love how these coordinate so well. I can’t tell you what a big pet peeve of mine it is to get an eyeshadow palette and feel at a loss to create a look because certain shades simply don’t go well together. These are very cohesive palettes which one base shade and two main shades to contrast with as well as deeper liner shades to smoky eyes out!

Shades include:

  • Rose Barbare
  • Tonka Imperiale
  • Coque D’Or
  • L’Heure de Nuit
  • Apres L’ondee
  • Bios Des Indes

Aren’t they stunning? I’m particularly loving the Tonka Imperiale shade selection which is the all brown shade and the Coque D’Or which is the earthy green and gold selection.

The palettes comes housed in Guerlain’s newer chic black compact with a generously sized mirror and a two applicators.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. I didn’t like Guerlain’s old shadow formula – I bought a 5 pan and had to return it, so glad they’ve reformulated, hope it’s better, but $ 69 is ouchie. But I like the color combos here, no need to think too hard, just grab a kit and apply

This has been the most inspiring Guerlain collection they have bought out in ages and ages. Love the grey shades and the one with the golds/browns and green.
I am so hoping that Guerlain has got the formulations right this time round as their reputation for delivering high quality eye shadows was diminishing.
Sadly, it will probably be too expensive for me…..

Temptalia has some swatches posted in her swatch gallery, no review yet, but they look absolutely horrible, worse than drugstore shadows 🙁
