Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-up Remover

I recently purchased not one but two bottles of Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-up Remover ($7.99). This is a new bi-phase eye makeup remover that the brand launched recently and I was pleasantly surprised to come across it in stores since it is fairly new.

I have to have my head examined for purchasing two because my experience with Simple Eye Makeup Remover was not a good experience! It was actually an awful experience not to mention there is a warning against getting it into your eyes. I can fathom how you’ll remove makeup with an eye makeup remover that you can’t get into your eyes.

Turns out purchasing two bottles of Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-up Remover was actually a smart move because it is a huge improvement on the old formula.

The only problem I have with Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-up Remover is the fact it is $8 for 3.38 oz of product. I wish it was bigger as I see myself going through this bottle very, very quickly. I also feel like for nearly $8 bucks they could at least give me a total 4 oz of product. Honestly, why does every single brand bring produce small bottles of eye makeup remover? It’s something we use daily! You’d think someone would have the bright idea to make a bigger bottle. Hell, if they had a 16 oz size of eye makeup remover I’d buy it!

None the less, Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-up Remover gets a Muse Approval.

This is a bi-phase remover that worked beautifully removing all my eye makeup, even waterproof mascara. It was quick, easy, and painless to remove my eye makeup. No stinging, no burning, and no cloud version. It quickly swept away all my makeup and left my eyes pleasantly hydrated. I read a few reviews that said it was too oily but I honestly didn’t notice that all! Maybe because I have drier eyes but I thought it worked perfectly. Honestly, I can see this becoming a staple, holy grail eye makeup remover for me.

Simple did an excellent job improving on this formula. It appears their old formula is no longer available which I think is great because that old formula was positively lethal stuff.

If you’re looking for a fairly cheap eye makeup remover that tackles hard to remove eye makeup quickly and effectively I’d highly recommend Simple Dual Effect Eye Make-up Remover!

It’s a hit for me!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. Muse- You are the only person so far that I have read had success with this product. Most said it just made an awful mess smearing the makeup around. That’s why I passed when it was BOGO.

Hmm.. .May have to give this a whirl when I’m out of my Clinique TTDO (which is $19 for 4.2 ounces, so this stuff’s still cheaper, as it should be since it’s sold at drugstores.)

You know what, tho? I will probably keep the clinique bottle and put the simple in it – I just love the name of the clinique one!! Stupid huh? Plus it’s a nice looking container… Even more stupid, huh? 😀

nice thing is that simple often has coupons to use – I think I have one for $3 off 2 products right now, so I’m kinda waiting for a decent sale to use ’em. I love, love, love their micellar water!

LOL NOT AT ALL! I do this with some of my skincare items 😀 not dumb at all! 😀 lmk if you try it! I seem to be alone liking this one!

Muse, I know you’ve had some bad experiences with eye makeup remover. Have you ever tried OCuSoft Lid Scrub? I stumbled across it this spring and began using it because of allergy season. I wanted something I could get right down into the base of my lashes to wash out pollen and dust and yet wouldn’t sting my eyes. That’s when I discovered it makes an excellent eye makeup remover. It’s a little pre-soaked cloth and comes in individually sealed packets. However, it’s not as effective on waterproof products as a bi-phase remover is. But it’s perfect for regular eye makeup or when you want to wash your lids without getting any stinging.

I have not thanks Deb! I’ll have to give ’em a try 😀 I def had some issues earlier this year as my eyes were terribly dry (lids) and everything was upsetting them!

I love them. They are so gentle and my lids just feel better after I use them if that makes any sense. You can find them in any drugstore but my local Walgreens charges double what I found them for on Amazon.

I’m going to give them a whirl! Let ya know what I think thanks for the rec Deb!

This is in the August Allure Beauty Thrills box so I can’t wait to get it so I can try it. I think it’ll be just like Clinique TTDO or Lancome’s Bi-Facil but much cheaper. I can’t justify paying Lancome’s prices for makeup remover! I mean paying for makeup is one thing but when you’re taking it off, it shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.

I haven’t this product, but my favorite easily remove all makeup including stubborn eye makeup are Epielle Cucumber melon wipes which at lots are 60 for $2! I reviewed them on my blog a few years ago (see link included below). They are made in South Korea and work better than any other wipes and makeup removers I’ve tried! I recently tried Yes to Cucumbers wipes that were in the target box and found them to burn my eye area, pacifica’s wipes were too small, dry, and not very effective plus smelled like perfume! Epielle sells different scents, BBB ut I’ve found the cucumber melon to be a more pleasing scent to me. I did just buy a new scent/”flavor” (for lack of a better word), argan oil, but think i still prefer the cucumber melon. They also sell sheet masks 3 for $2, also made in South Korea which are decent to good, my favorite is (which I’m sure is a big surprise at this point) cucumber melon! After being spoiled by their amazingly effective and cheap makeup remover wipes, ALL others seem expensive in comparison, for example nutragenia wipes are 30 for $5.99 that is 6 TIMES the price of 60 for $2! The only makeup the wipes sometimes don’t get it all off is waterproof mascara which i rarely wear. That is the only time I’ve had a little trouble, but then i use the garnier miceller water, waterproof remover (blue cap). But that is a very rare occurance. I find the wipes to be larger than other brands and wetter too! I really hope you will try the Epielle wipes! Please let me know what you think of them!
