Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub Review

Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub1

Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub ($16) is a new twist-up lip pencil that exfoliates dry, crack lips without the mess! I always think of those old lipstick lip scrubs when I see treatments like this, kind of something my grandmother might have used on her lips!

I’ve actually never been a fan of them but Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub changed my mind!

Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub4

Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub (0.10 oz) is a new chubby twist-up lip scrub. The packaging will be fairly familiar to users of Tarte’s Lipsurgence Lip Pencils as this is exactly like those pencils. As I said above, I’m actually one that avoids lipstick exfoliators. They kind of remind me of 1960’s makeup and seem terribly harsh. But I actually loved Tarte’s formula.

This little guy is created with a blend of shea butter and fine raw sugar. Just gentle swipe it on your lips to scrub away dry, dead skin from your lips and wipe it off. It’s quite grainy so if you’re sensitive be gentle. I personally have drier lips that are typically chapped in the Winter so, I actually prefer a more harsher scrub for them. This fits the bill perfectly. I like using it as a prep for lipstick application as it exfoliates away dryness which gives me a smoother finish. Plus it takes next to no time to use it, just swipe it on, tissue it off, and you’re left with smooth lips. It’s also perfectly portable if you want to carry it around and prep with it prior to touching up your matte lipstick because we all know mattes need as smooth a surface as possible to look good!

Only problem?

It’s very tempting to eat or lick off. It’s a tasty sweet mint flavor!

If you’re prone to dry lips the Tarte Lip Facial Lip Scrub is fantastic for buffing away dryness to reveal smooth, kissable lips!

Loves it!

I was pleasantly surprised by this product! I didn’t think it would be gritty enough, but its actually effective plus smoother than the ELF lip scrub that I adore. I wish it was permanent…the collection is already becoming more difficult to find in stores.

I think sensitive users might feel it is a little too gritty but I thought it was perfect! Very effective for softening lips ;-D

Another Tarte product I’d love to try! Whenever the seasons change my lips freak out lol. Gotta get my scrub on.

Sounds lovely! I got the ROTS lip primer after your Muse Approval and I really like it, so I’m sure I’ll like this too!

I LOVE that stuff! It got some poor reviews but I adored it 😀 Def try this especially if you have dry lips!

I’ve always hated lip scrubs, because they are too harsh, but this one is perfect.

I have always wondered about lip scrubs in sticks. It seems very intriguing and unlike what I’ve tried in the past!

Nothing against Tarte, I love Tarte. I just use some vitamin E oil with sugar. Vitamin E oil lasts forever and everybody’s got sugar. I’m not a DIYer, I just think this is one thing that can’t be improved on

I really need a new lip scrub, I’ve been using the Laura Geller “lip strip” scrub, and it’s just so greasy! NOT a fan of it at all!
