Anyone Else Do This To Their Dogs Ears?

And crack up over it?

Dunno why but it makes me giggle every single time!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Oh yeah, I do it all the time. I also pull all her skin on her face taught so I can tease her and tell her she got a facelift. (She has a lot of skin so its not like I’m hurting her). I’m sure she’s thinking “please just stop” but it is funny! Dogs. Can’t live without them! 🙂

I don’t have to — the Jack Russell and the Yorkie puppies do this all on their own. Their ears are standing up completely now (Lexie’s left ear fell back down for a while, but it’s back up). She looks like an Ewok and Jake looks more like Yoda, but sometimes he looks like a little furry bat. My husband wishes Lexie’s ears would stay down, but that’s not part of the breed standard. She -did- look adorable that way, though.

Basset ears, now — they’re a completely different story. So soft, and silky, and so very floppy — and so much fun to play with. My two baby girls (babies — hah! One will be 6 in December and the other will be 4 in October. I can’t believe my sweet Abby is going to be 4) love to have me play with their ears.

Yes! I do all sorts of hilarious things to my dogs and I have big ones – Bernese Mountain Dogs! Dogs are the best. 🙂

I used to be able to fold my German Shepherd’s ears so they would stick up above his head like little horns — and he would hold them that way! It was really funny looking! I don’t turn my current dogs’ ears inside out, tho, b/c they’re too thick to turn and I’d be afraid I might damage them.

Maybe….;) At least with Micky the chihuahua/yorkie I could. Sunny is 100% yorkie but has floppy little ears (they were up as a puppy but I think the hair weighed them down; though frankly I could care less what his ears do- he’s beautiful either way)….Oh and I used to put a pin curl in Micky’s scraggly tail hair so he could have a curly tail like a piglet!
