Yeah, you read that right, Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Nourishing Milk is $86! Channeling Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatment, this new formula gives you the benefits and hydration of a facial oil and in a lightweight formula.

I have admit the price somewhat surprised me. But perhaps I shouldn’t be that surprised considering Bobbi Brown’s skincare is typically quite expensive. This new milk was created for drier skin types but according to the brand is it light enough for even normal ones to use it. It contains a blend of olive, sesame, sweet almond, and jojoba oils and can be applied after serum to nourish and hydrate skin.

I actually didn’t like Josie’s formula because I felt like it was a little too lightweight for nightly use. It’s a good pick if you can’t use facial in the AM because it is a bit heavy. The milk formula definitely is lighter and doesn’t leave skin as shiny or as greasy as a facial oil would.

I can’t say the same for Bobbi’s formula as I haven’t yet tried it. I’m intrigued but the near $100 price tag for a mere 1 oz bottle is making me back pedal on a purchase.

What do you think?

Potentially worth picking up?

I’ve become awful frugal with my skincare picks simply because I use a majority of Korean skincare all of which is very inexpensive. I’ve become a bit spoiled due to Korean beauty and skincare!

Thanks for sharing, Muse! I’m definitely curious but a little frustrated that the full ingredient list wasn’t shared.

Bobbi Brown skin care has become too expensive given that it does not contain as many beneficial ingredients as other brands (the doctor brands like Dr. Dennis Gross, Murad) that cost about the same. BB makeup pricing is also heading up into the stratosphere where Armani, Suqqu, and Cle de Peau reside. But these 3 brands have far superior textures in their powder products like blush, pressed powder and eyeshadow, and in their foundations. Actually Makeup For Ever, which is less expensive that BB, has comparable and in some cases, better, makeup.

I bought a number of BB products in the last 8 months: creamy concealer, color corrector, perfectly defined long wear brown pencil, stick foundation, pressed powder, eye shadow, lipstick, cushion foundation, pot rouge. After wearing them for several months, I conclude that only the following products are worth the price: color corrector, pot rouge, brow pencil.
The other products are very good, but not great and not worth the price I paid.

Who does really good powder-based products (eyeshadow, loose and pressed powder, powder blush)? Actually, the Japanese brands like Shiseido, Suqqu, Lunasol, Cle de Peau, Surratt Beauty (made in Japan), Kanebo. MUFE does amazing foundations, stick and liquid.

I’m willing to bet that there’s nothing that special in this to justify the price. The cosmetics industry is getting ridiculous with these insane prices! I’ve been using “Dirty Works” brand skincare which works like a charm, does what it says, and leaves me with more money to spend on makeup!♡♡

I’m eager to try this. I think mine is coming in the mail soon…although I agree that I would like to know what the ingredients are.

I’ve been loving this product thus far – been using it everyday. I have posted a first-look on my blog. Bobbi Brown’s skincare is quite pricey but it is a nice treat to your skin!
