Many of you were waiting to get your hands on the Too Faced Merry Macarons Palette and I’m happy to report it launched yesterday at Ulta.com with the rest of the Too Faced Holiday 2016 Collection and should be arriving in stores soon!

Sure, it’s packed with a ton of gorgeous eyeshadows but I think the key selling point might be the fact it smells like vanilla!

Too Faced Merry Macarons ($39) is packed with 12 gorgeous eyeshadows that are scented like vanilla. Too Faced packs this one up with a deluxe size Better Than Sex as well as a a step-by-step get the look guide.

Like the Too Faced Chocolate Shop Palette, it features a pop out design of a Christmas in New York scene! The Chocolate Shop features two shoppers in the city where as this palette features a little ice skater! The palette looks like it does have a good deal of the same shades as the Chocolate Shop or at least variations of the shades featured in that palette.

You get:

  • Coconut (warm beige)
  • Dulce De Leche (matte caramel brown)
  • Banana Cream (warm golden medium brown)
  • Almond Mocha (cool dark taupe)
  • Champagne Rose (golden pink)
  • Mint Chocolate (matte warm dusty purple)
  • Tiramisu (matte soft fawn)
  • Chocolate Raspberry
  • Praline (warm gold shimmer)
  • Honey Lavender (pale mauve)
  • Violet Cassis (vibrant orchid)
  • Cookies & Cream (matte black w/ silver sparkle)

Did you pick it up?

I didn’t because it had a good deal of rerun shades or at least it appeared to! I felt safe skipping it although I have to admit the vanilla scent had me tempted to grab it. Isn’t it weird the things that tip us into the buying zone?

The Too Faced Merry Macarons is available now at Ulta.com for a limited time.

I’ve never had one of these holiday palettes but this one is calling to me. Can you tell me if the palette itself pops out of the bulky ice skater box…and has its own lid or cover? Or do you always have to store it in the bulky pop up box?

    • Isabella Muse

It does pop out but it doesn’t have a lid! So you have to pop it back in after use.

I know a lot of people criticized Nikki’s palette as being too similar to the Vegas Nay, but this one looks nearly identical. The packaging and scent make it soooo tempting, but I can’t find a way to justify buying it.

    • Corgigrrl

I can justify it! lol! I didn’t buy either of those! I ALSO skipped last year’s Paris themed kits. Was that last year!? Or the year before? So now I’m already trying to make the big decision, even though its only September still, of what palette the dogs are going to buy me this year. haha

I’m waiting for a coupon or a free gift before I purchase. I feel like the colors are very similar to other TF palettes I own and I’don’t only be buying it for the smell. Ulta just sent the email for the Lorac Mega Pro 3 that I’m trying to convince myself not to get. Lol.

    • Isabella Muse

They are a lot like past palette shades so you aren’t missing TOO much, Sanday 🙂

This little palette is terrible cute! But that’s where it stops. The color pay off is horrible and there is a huge amount of fall out. I had to wet a brush and pack the color on to get it to appear. The tiniest bit of blending and you start all over again. It’s takes a lot of work to make this palette functional. It made in china so quality suffered. I’m returning mine.

Is 2016 going to be known as the holiday season of palette disappointment?! First Tarte, then Too Faced?! Eye shadow repeats & no color payoff?!
I’ve also heard there won’t be any Bareminerals or Laura Geller holiday color cosmetic kits for the holidays on QVC, which, if true, is also a major bummer. Many times I’ve ordered a holiday kit on auto delivery from Bareminerals which was like a gift all year long practically! I’ve never had a Lorac or UD palette maybe I will consider 1 of those instead, being tried & true favorites. I always did enjoy Too Faced fun holiday packaging though last year was a bit meh. I finally remembered last year’s simple but festive patterns!
