Kiko Enigma Lipstick Review & Swatches
Kiko Enigma Lipstick ($15) is a new volumizing lipstick that launched with the Kiko Neo Noir Fall 2016 Collection. This lipstick is formulated with passio fruit oils and a mix of waxes and shiny oils that provide a radiant finish on lips.
I’m a lover of Kiko’s lipstick formula in anyway, shape, or form I can get it so, I was pretty excited about the launch of Engima Lipstick. This lipstick and the entire Neo Noir Collection has a very high end feel much like the Summer 2016 Kiko Lovegrove Collection. One would never believe you paid $15 for this lipstick!
Kiko Enigma Lipstick comes housed in a gorgeous black hourglass barrel that’s very slick and high end looking. Kiko continues impress me with not only excellent formulas but incredible packaging at such low prices. The packaging was created by Ross Lovegrove who also worked on Kiko’s Summer 2016 Collection.
If you like MAC Lustre Lipstick you’re bound to love Kiko Engima Lipstick as the formulas are very much the same. This formula is a balmy texture with a slight drag on lips! Don’t worry it applies easily enough and has a smooth, even application. It feels very much like a thicker lip balm but it feels light enough on lips without being heavy. I find the consistency is a lot like MAC’s Lustre Lipstick but a little thicker. I only tried one shade and it had fairly good pigmentation but not nearly as pigmented as some of Kiko’s other formulas. They aren’t lying about the plumped up finish this provides. The finish has a slight shine to it but my lips actually looked fuller and plush with this on. No worries, there isn’t any minty flavor or tingle that goes along with many lip plumping formulas. This lipstick relies on the thickness of the formula to provide the plumping finish.
If you like thicker lipstick formulas with a hint of shine and plushness you’ll likely love Kiko Enigma Lipstick!
