A Look Back: Holiday 2007 Makeup and Beauty Collections

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Please, Ms. Muse, use your powers and have BBW bring back the temptations line. Nothing has been like it since. Yum, do u remember banana smoothie and cherry pie? And what about Hello Sugar? Seriously, die hard BBW fans love this stuff.
Ok, don’t get mad at me, but I have no idea who Donovan is, but if you are happy sweetie, that is all that matters. Hey, I have flown across the country to see Keith Urban. And, I loathe country music. My husband is mortified that I have a concert poster of Keith in our walk in closet. I say, oh f well. Be safe my dear.
        Hear from you to tomorrow

ha I wish i had powers like that Sarah 😀 one can hope they might return! Hello Sugar was amazing what a shame they discontinued it so quickly! Ah Donovan is an old 60’s hippies, peace, love, acid 😀 haha! He was pretty amazing in his hey day!

Like you guys, I so miss the BBW temptations (they were SO stupid to get rid of them!) and I miss the adorable stila packaging! Why did they get rid of the lovely drawings on the packages? They were almost addictive!

I have to say I haven’t seen anything (yet) that has made me scramble for my credit card… but it’s early yet, so I’m sure I will find something(s) that snap my head around! 😀

    • Isabella Muse

Oh god were they ever. Did you remember the Stila girl cans? THOSE were addicting! I think BE had me scrambling my credit card, there collection this year is lovely!

I know @kimkats, what were they thinking? I am so over the coconut thing BBW has been doing for years. I want my temptations!!! Maybe, one day. One can hope. Hey, we love what we love. 🙂

that too faced palette set was my first high end make product ever bought/used. i used it throughout my entire sophomore year in high school, and had bought it from tj maxx. they used to sell a lot of too faced… you would never see that anymore.

wow i went to tj maxx/homegoods for the first time since christmas time for to look at the fall decor, lo and behold, they had too faced products. They were selling the love palette, lip injection color bombs, and soul mates for more than half the price in the sale section on toofaced.com! what a coincidence, i thought of you when i saw them.

For YEARS – like 2000-2008 I obsessively collected everything with the Stila girl illustrations. I tore ads out of Vogue, saved packaging from products, collected the paint cans and monthly trio palettes, etc. Eventually I gave up and purged most of my collection, but I loved it all so much.

Stila was the first high-end brand I really got into, and it was because I went to special launch party at Bergdorfs during my senior year of college. Bought half the Picnic in the Park collection that day!

Anyway, seeing those designs from 2007 makes me very nostalgic. I don’t really use any Stila anymore, I don’t find the quality to be that great these days, but there was a time when I adored it!

I was like you Jen! I also went so far as to try to get cans from asia, uk, etc on ebay haha! I would like to say I still have pieces from the picnic in the park collection thank you very much haha! Stila has undergone so many changes it really feels like an entirely other brand now!

Yes, Muse! Def remember stalking paint cans on ebay, although my main ebay haunt at that time was every.single.paul frank.t shirt.

Now seriously contemplating digging out my Picnic in the Park eyeshadow trio this weekend… 🙂

ha! 😀 I was a Hello Kitty junkie so I was determined to own every single makeup bag, stationary item, etc that I could find on Ebay that was available in Japan ;-D Let’s do that together, deal? ;-D
