So, I quickly glanced at the Make Up For Ever Artistic Lip Ink and Brush Set and I thought it was nail polish! I don’t know if I was partially asleep or not paying attention but for some reason I wrote this set off as a polish set. Duh! Yeah, real genius moment considering I know that MUFE doesn’t do nail polish.

But the awesome news is this fabulous red will give the perfect Holiday pout!

Make Up For Ever was inspired by the art of calligraphy when creating this gorgeous Holiday lip set. It includes a pot of red liquid lip color with a matte finish as well as a lip brush for application. The Artist Lip Inks red shade was hand selected by famous, transgendered model, Andreja Pejic. I always see Andreja in softer shades of nude so, I decided to Google and there are a few gorgeous images of her wearing this particular red as well as others and she just rocks it.

I’m going to throw it out there that even though they say the application is effortless, I’d probably make a mess with application. I’m like a child with their first set of crayons when you give me a lip brush. Everything is applied like a hot, chaotic mess.

I’m intrigued especially because the the formula sounds incredible with its velvety finish.

The set comes housed in a Metal Collector’s Box along with the Pinceau Brush and 0.15 oz of Artistic Lip Ink.

The Make Up For Ever Artistic Lip Ink and Brush Set is $40 and available now at Sephora.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I hate to tell you, but the price listed is off… By $15. It’s actually $40, not $25.

I wish it was 25, maybe on clearance. (Whenever that happens! Holiday collection clearance is the best.) 40 seems a teeny bit extreme, while on par for MUFE.
