The new Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario is a new eyeshadow palette created by fellow New Yorker and makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic. Mario’s name is fairly well known by many makeup fans as he’s responsible for Kim Kardashian’s incredible looks. I feel like a lot of Kim’s looks are housed in this eyeshadow palette. It’s truly a beautiful selection of well though out warm, rich Fall shades that all work and play well together.

Let’s take a look!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Palettes are absolutely some of the best out there in my opinion. Time and time again they have proven that they know how to do eyeshadows, I mean really, have you tried the Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette? Crazy good! And this Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario is absolutely not exception. Honestly, if you want it don’t hesitate as I see it going out of stock quickly when Sephora’s Friends and Family rolls around!

This comes in a black sturdy cardboard compact with gold accents and a full-size mirror. It features a double-sided eyeshadow brush which has a flat shadow brush on one end and a blending brush on the other. It’s a nice brush with soft bristles that works well to create looks. This palette is a little smaller and a little more compared the the recent Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette which contains 14 eyeshadows at 0.02 oz in size each for $42 versus this palette that holds 12 shades at 0.02 oz for $45.

I found myself wishing Mario would pop up online somewhere doing tutorials using this palette. I’d love to see what looks he’d create using it! I also find myself wishing for a little tutorial guide to create looks using these shades! But not to worry, that’s part of the appeal of this eyeshadow palette, it’s fantastically easy to use. The eyeshadow shades all jive well together and creating looks is fairly easily. Too many times, I purchase palettes that leave me puzzling over what shades will work well together. That’s not an issue with this palette! All the shades work, play, and just jive really well together. Can we take a second to talk about the color scheme? It’s gorgeous! Truly Fall fabulous! The shades are rich and warm colors that remind me of a Fall landscape!

The colors are all incredibly pigmented with a soft, velvety texture on the shimmers and a silky, powdery texture on the mattes. There is a good deal of powdery dust up but this does not translate to chalkiness or dryness. The shades all apply like butter with an easy to blend formula and little to no fall out. They are just a pure joy to work with! I think it’s rare you get a palette that’s filled with

For me a purchase of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Master Palette by Mario is a no brainer for those of us that love beautifully textured eyeshadows and for those of that love warmer colors. This is truly an outstanding palette well worth a purchase.

Did you get yours?

I’m really looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this one!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Waaaah I want this!! But I bought the Olivia Palermo Ciate Smoky Suede palette for my new Fall eye shadow when it was on sale! Maybe I’ll save this for the 20% off Sephora sale or one of their other promos…

The palettes is gorgeous but I just got mine yesterday and haven’t had a chance to play with it yet.

I’m glad you liked but I have to say that ABH palettes seem to have improved markedly beginning with the Self-Made palette. I had all of them going back to when ABH started releasing eyeshadow palettes and I found them so-so, didn’t like them enough to use them, so I got rid of them.

But I tried Self-Made when I got rave reviews and I’ve been a renewed fan ever since.

They do a good eyeshadow palette! 🙂 this one is no exception! I can’t say I have them all but the ones I do have I really enjoy using! Let me know whatcha think after trying, curious on your thoughts!

  • Cathy

I bought mine today!!! 🙂 I cant wait!!! It just sucks that they have increase the price of their palettes. I have the maya mia, tamana, all of them after those two.

  • Lana

    Hi Muse,
Those swatches look really good. Are they 1 swipe or did you have to build them?
Also, did the palette come with any look cards (with different looks). I bought the Tamanna palette when it came out and that one included look cards

    • Isabella Muse

one swipe using a sponge applicator. Nope, I mentioned in the post there isn’t any guide or look book! Hope this helps!

  • Maria A

The color palette looks similar to the Jouer one, wouldn’t you say?

  • Robin

I’m torn. This looks great and I was going to purchase it, but then I saw the new Ciate palette and I like it as well. Decisions, decisions….

    • Cory

The Ciate palette made my jaw-drop. It’s sooooo gorgeous! Why not both?

  • Moda31

So tempted, but I bought the self made palette and I pretty much never use it so I’m hesitant. Ugh, I need more eyeshadow like I need a hole in the head.

  • Morgan

I was hoping you’d comment on the “Muse” color in reference to yourself. It made me laugh a little bit. 🙂

      • Michelle Flamingo

I noticed immediately that one color is Muse and another color is Isabel…….I kept reading, thinking you would say they did this for you!

          • Michelle Flamingo

The funny thing is that it is JUST Muse and Isabel colors that made me think they named them after you, but you are from the NYC area (outlying perhaps, but close to NYC), and 3 colors are NYC names : NYC, 5th Ave, Bronx.

I honestly thought they did this on purpose as an indirect “shout out” to you.

          • Isabella Muse

lol no not at all! I’m no one 🙂 the def didn’t point me out. I’m not sure who Muse refuses to but I think it might be Kim? 🙂 In my imagination they are totally talking about me hahaha!

          • Michelle Flamingo

I forgot a word. I meant to write “NOT JUST Muse and Isabel”

  • Nicole

If you have the Modern Renaissance palette, is this one different enough to justify having both?

    • Isabella Muse

yeah, Modern Renaissance is filled with a lot more pinks, reds, etc….this is more richer browns, golds, greens.

    • Cory

Definitely! They’re going to work together amazingly. MR is mostly mattes, & this one is mostly Shimmers. The colors are going to work nicely together.

  • Nikki

I’m torn between this one and the modern renaissance one! If you had blond hair and blue/green eyes with cool undertones which palette would you pick, Muse???

    • Isabella Muse

you might want to go with this one! The browns would like nice with blue/green eyes!

  • Claire Talks Beauty

i got mine today. can’t wait to play with it! stunning colors !

  • Rebecca

How did you create the look on your eyes? It looks like the great look but I can’t quite figure out exactly which shades you used. Thanks!

    • Isabella Muse

Thanks Rebecca! I used 5th Ave on the inner lid, Isabel and Violette at the outer crease and NYC blended over it!

  • ame

I got this and Lorac’s MegaPro3 in the same order and this sucker is backup-worthy. While I would prefer to replace the Rusty Matte shade with an Ivory one, and maybe one of the golds with a deep plum shimmer, it’s otherwise perfect. I can see myself panning NYC and MUSE as well as Marina.

  • Kat M

eh, I’ll pass… Anyone know if Anastasia will put out a COOL toned palette? All these warm ones are bumming me out…

  • Kathryn Hobson

I just got mine and I love it! It is very shimmery, but still so great. I like your review; did you do one on the new UD Naked UB palette? Curious about your thought on that one.
