Bare Minerals Your Kiss Is On My List Mini Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick Collection Review & Swatches
Yay the new, limited edition Bare Minerals Your Kiss Is On My List Mini Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick Collection that launched with the Bare Minerals Holiday 2016 Collection gets you eight shades of the new Gen Nude Lipstick. Honestly, I never expected to get a set of Gen Nude Lipsticks this quickly! If anything I would expect a set like this to launch next year since the Gen Nude Lipsick range so very new (Yes, I’m almost typed, “so very nude”!).
Typically, Bare Minerals does a Moxie Lipstick Set like the Love At First Kiss Marvelous Moxie Lipstick Collection and I expected the same this year. It just seems like Gen Nude would be too new for a value set. But I am quite happy about the launch of the Bare Minerals Your Kiss Is On My List Mini Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick Collection.
This little set includes eight mini Gen Nude Lipsticks for $35. Each lipstick is 0.04 oz in size for a total of 0.32 oz of product. A full size is $20 and weights in at 0.12 oz. This set gets you nearly $60 worth of lipstick although it says it is an $80 value (three full size lipsticks is $60 for 0.36 oz of product, not sure where $80 comes into play! Unless I’m tired and my math is way off haha!).
The set features two different barrel designs one of which is a rose gold barrel with black scripting and black accents and the other is a black barrel with rose gold scripting and accents! It’s kind of fun to have two different packaging details on the tubes! By the way, the tubes are super small which makes them great for light travel and easy storage but you’re bound to run through shades quickly at this size plus given the slick, melty formula, you’ll for sure get through them fast. I think of them as a sampler set of sorts so, you can see which shades look good on you and you can indulge in the full size later.

I have to admit I struggled with a few shades as they gave me a bad case of zombie lips. But I did not struggle with the formula which happens to be better than Marvelous Moxie. These are fragrance and flavor-free and have a smooth, easy application on lips with a lightly creamy texture that has a slick, even, smooth glide across lips. They have a hint of a shiny finish and excellent pigmentation with a wear of four hours on my drier lips. I love the formula! It quite reminds me of Japanese lipsticks which favor a slicker, creamier textured lipstick with a hint of a shiny finish. Apparently these are Made in China, I’m not sure if the full size Gen Nude Lipstick are as well? Sadly, I can’t compare the formula since I haven’t tried the full size ones but if they are anything as good as the minis I’ll be quite happy. I adore this soft, melt-y texture as it applies on my lips like melted butter!
Lipgloss sets are a common Holiday offering but I feel like lipstick ones aren’t as common! So, I always appreciate Bare Minerals for doing one and I feel like they really got th Your Kiss Is On My List Mini Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick Collection down right. This a beautifully formulated set of lipsticks and an excellent way to try a variety of nudes to see which ones you look best in! It’s also a perfect introduction to the new Gen Nude Lipstick Collection.
