I think a million people out there can pull off black lipstick but lord knows I can’t which is one reason I was a little scared of Black Lace Rabbit! But the fact is, anyone can wear this shade. It works a treat all its own and gives my lips a delightful berry look or it can be used over your favorite lipstick shade to add a deeper look to any shade. I’ve used it with reds, peaches, and pinks and the shade adds depth to each of those shades. It has a very fine gold shimmer in the mix but it’s barely noticeable on lips. the formula applies easily and has adds shine to your lipstick when using as an overcoat.

I have fairly rosy lips and when I use this alone it applies as a sheer, smokier black but morphs a bit and turns into a dark berry. When I use it over lipstick it completely changes the shade. As you can see below I used it with the shade that my Smoky Lip Kit came with, Bright Natural, and it turned the shade from a dusky peachy rose into a dusky berry.

This set is pretty fab as it not only offers your an excellent way to experiment with Black Lace Rabbit but it also gifts you two full-size Lipstick Queen Lipsticks for $35. If you purchased them individually it would set you back $48. So, you’re shaving $13 by indulging in this set!

Not to mention that the Sinner formula is divine! It’s creamy, pigmented, glides on like silk, and leaves lips with gorgeous long-wearing color that lasts for a good five hours.

If you’re wanting to try out Black Lace Rabbit, I’d highly suggest grabbing the Lipstick Queen Smokey Lip Kit as it gets you two great lipsticks for a value price.

The Lipstick Queen Smokey Lip Kit is available now at Ulta.com.

Love the shade of the Lipstick Queen Black Lace Rabbit worn alone. Very pretty!

I’m unsure of the black lace rabbit by itself on me. I like the other lipstick on tho. It might just take some getting used to. I will definitely try it over other colors.

I wish I would have spent my money on this set instead of the frog prince/hello sailor set that I recently purchased. I was so incredibly let down by both of these, and they get such rave reviews…i thought I was getting winners for sure, but man did they suck! The formula was not moisturizing at all, and they both seem to stay on my lips for 10 minutes tops. The Frog Prince gives a slight pinky color to my lips and the Hello Sailor just makes me look like a corpse. These were definitely my biggest prestige brand purchase regret ever. This set looks so much nicer, but now I just can’t believe the hype surrounding this brand.

Oh sorry! I liked the frog prince and hello sailor shades! So sad you hated them! Sorry 🙁

Gorgeous! I love sheer black lippies anyway and this is a killer set. Both can be used alone or together plus the black can be used with other shades so you get more versatility than a usual set of 2 lipsticks. Plus I’ve heard her lipsticks are all amazing although I’ve never gotten to try them myself yet!

Hi Isabella! Love seeing this review! I have known Lipstick Queen for about 4-5 years. I love their lipsticks and was super excited to see Black Lace Rabbit come out, as I do love deep lip colors (I do love goth/vampy lips). Funny enough, Black Lace Rabbit does not make one look goth/vampy looking.

What I love about LQ’s stuff is that her lipsticks look amazing on all skin tones and do not leave my super dry lips looking like a mummy’s!
