Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Duo in Opal/Jam ($14) is one of four lipstick duos that Bite Beauty launched for Holiday 2016. This a nice introduction to Bite Beauty’s newest lipstick formula, Amuse Bouche.

Here’s a look!

The Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick Duo is a double-ended lipstick that has an Amuse Bouche Lipstick sade on one side and a limited edition foiled top coat on the other. These are a deluxe size that weight in at 0.10 oz in size and are fairly small and easy to travel with.

This pairing is a rich plum berry lipstick and a iridescent, translucent white topcoat. You can use either shade individually or you can apply the Amuse Bouche Lipstick first and add the white topcoat to add a foiled finish to your completed look.

Opal is actually a fairly sheer shade that adds white shimmer to lips when worn alone. It has a smooth yet thin formula with a stiffer texture at first application but goes much more softer as it warms up. I personally didn’t like it applied alone over my lips as it just lays down a layer of uneven sheerer shimmer to my bare lips. I don’t think you can even tell the difference very much when I’m wearing it on top of Jam in my photo below

Jam is a very pretty plum berry that has a creamy, easy to apply formula with a slightly shiny finish. As with all Bite Beauty Lipsticks it applied beautifully well with excellent opaque color that wore for five hours straight and left a stain behind after fading.

When I wore Opal over Jam I didn’t see a huge difference in my look nor the foiled finish that was advertised. Opal seems to lighten up the richer tone of the pluminess from Jam but shimmer or a foiled effect is not something I noticed. It did add a nice shine to my completed look and it sheerer out the final finish of Jam.

All in all, the Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick Duo is a most excellent way to try out the Amuse Bouce formula. Or maybe not as these will surely get you hooked on the formula and you’ll need more shades.

Uh oh.

Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick Duo is available now at Sephora.com.

I just picked this up on a whim while in like at Sephora picking up my VIB Rouge haul. I found I had better success mixing the two colors if I put Opal on first and then followed with Jam. Then I got the nice pearly sheen I was looking for. I do think it has probably managed to get me hooked and Bite will be taking my money from me shortly for more colors.

I want all of these so bad and I can’t remember the last time I felt that way about makeup. 🙁 It’s such a cute idea!!

Hi Muse! I got the one with Pepper and Bronze. Within the first 3 uses my bronze broke! I can still use it but mine didn’t show up much layered either! I love you I’m Jam!!
