Revlon Colorstay Creme Eyeshadow, Revlon Colorstay 2-in-1 Angled Kajal, and Revlon Colorstay Brow Pencil arrive for Spring 2017 at Harmons this month! I could care less about the kajal and brow pencil but the Colorstay Creme Eyeshadows? Yaassss!

Revlon Colorstay Creme Eyeshadow arrive in 12 shades which have either a pearlscent, matte, or shimmer finish. This is a creamy eyeshadow formula with the promise of a long, crease-free wear! I’m very excited about these as they quite remind me of Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadows.

Also, in this release is a new Colorstay 2-in-1 Angled Kajal that has a dual-sided design with a mini smudging brush located on one end and the liner on the other. The slated design allows for easy application and the brush can be used to smudge the liner across eyes for a smoky effect and finish.

And finally a new Colorstay Brow Pencil is available in a variety of shades.

I can’t really say the brow pencil or eyeliner is exiting me much but I am highly interested in the cream eyeshadows. I’m hoping the mattes are as good as they look as I’m all about nude, natural eyes lately that are simply to apply and what better than a matte easy apply cream eyeshadow for quickie looks or even to use as a base for powders!

I located this display at Harmons and the Creme Eyeshadows were a mere $6.49 each but I imagine once they become more mainstream and arrive at Walgreens and CVS you’re likely to pay $9.99 or so per pot.

I’ll feature a review and swatches shortly of the shades I purchased.

Excited about this launch?

Our local Walmart had these last week. I bought three of the cream eyeshadow, one eyeliner, and the brow pencil. I’ve only used one cream eyeshadow. I liked it. The eyeliner is awesome. I bought the plum color and now want the black one. The eyebrow pencil was awful. The color clumped in the middle of my eyebrow and flattened my brows. Needless to say taking extra work. Loreal and maybelline”s, in my opinion, are much better.

I saw this display yesterday at Walgreens. They are $7.99 at my store. I was kinda like meh about these as they look exactly like the color tattoos. I have a ton of those so I really don’t feel the need to buy any of these unless they come out with some cool shades further down the line. This initial launch is of course just your basic shade range but remember how Maybelline used to bring out LE tattoos? Those were the best. (Now I sound like the Member Berries). But I am looking forward to your review and swatches of these just in case they turn out to be awesome, I’ll have to get a few this week while Walgreens has their buy 2 get 1 free in cosmetics going on.

I was excited as I like color tattoos so I was like mm I’m up for something new 😀 Yes of course, I had so much fun hunting down the LE ones hahah!

Carol G, are your tattoo pots still good?! many of mine are drying/dried out and I’m so bummed!! I loooove(d) them, and can’t think of how to still use them. I’m tempted to try these, but feel the same thing will happen. Ughh first world makeup problems.

I usually don’t really care for drugstore eyebrow products either but I actually picked this up because there’s one for us black haired folks which is a rarity in drugstore brow products because they usually only come in 2-3 colors. I think it’s called soft black which is a soft gray and not brown at all, unlike what the packaging shows. Though the tip is a bit big, I think I can work with it.

I think they were $8 at walgreens but I could be remembering wrong. I spotted them when I had no extra money. I just pray that “Black Currant” shade is still there when I go back!

Their eyebrow pencil is actually really good and the shade auburn is great for redheads.

Excited about the cream eyeshadow. I have missed an eggplant shade that I had in Maybelline Color Tattoo that they discontinued. It was fabulous, and it looks like there is a similar shade with Revlon! So excited!

    Hey Muse
You are correct 8.99 and 9.99 and both CVS and Walgreens in OH. I was going to wait for your review and I’m sure they will have a sale at both stores by the time you post your review.

    • Isabella Muse

thanks for confirming! I didn;’t yet see them at Walgreens or CVS so, I was guestimating those prices 🙂 I’ll have a review up shortly!

  • Ana

I can’t wait to try those cream eyeshadows! I have the Maybelline Color Tattoo eyeshadows and they last forever. No doubt these will work just as great 🙂

Can’t wait to try the creme eye shadows! I found the color stay brow pencil and like it a lot. Hope the shadows show up here soon.

Finally! Someone else has seen the cream eyeshadows. I tried googling swatches/reviews last week after seeing them at my CVS ($7.99) and nothing popped up.

I grabbed #705, a light gold. It’s okay… I like it. I’ve used it everyday but the texture is definitely very, very firm with a cream-to-powder formula. It’s definitely not a tacky base for powder eyeshadows, although I do use underneath shadows sometimes.

    Excited to read your thoughts!

    • Isabella Muse

Hmmm! I haven’t tried yet Joyce but curious how I’ll feel 🙂 thoughts/review on the way soon!

Anxiously awaiting your review of the eye shadows. I saw a display for this at my CVS yesterday but it only featured three shades.

  • Laura

I bought the Caramel and Chocolate cream shadows, and applied them yesterday. They are STILL on this morning with no touch-up–completely intact after swimming and a long shower! They are very light-weight, and apply easily with the brush included, which works beautifully. I’m already hoping for more colors. These are amazing!!

    • Lorraine. E.R

They come with a brush and it works? Nice. They sound great actually. Do you think they would work well as bases for powder shadows?

      • Laura

They do work beautifully as a base for powder shadow, and even after showering, the powder is the only color that wears away. This formula is like nothing I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried a LOT of cream/liquid eye shadows. I’ve got oily eyelids and haven’t been using any primer under the new cream shadows. The caramel looks like a very light gold shimmer on my medium skin, but it helps liven up the chocolate, which is kind of a dull, muddy color on me. I add a deeper bronze powder shadow over it. I’m hoping for some more intense colors that I can wear alone.
