Sunday Riley Effortless Breathable Tinted Primer ($48) is a lightweight primer slash tinted moisturizer formula that I decided to purchase during the Sephora Sale.

I’m all about sheerer coverage and this fits to bill perfectly. But don’t worry, it still works a treat if you don’t desire sheer coverage.

Sunday Riley Effortless Breathable Tinted Primer is actually a multipurpose formula that can used as either as primer or a tinted moisturizer of sorts. I actually loved this as a primer! Granted, I don’t need to add more products to my already extensive routine but this worked fantastically well.

This is a super lightweight, runny consistency, sheerly tinted primer that contains sodium hyaluronate aka hyaluronic acid which is an excellent ingrident that allows skin to retain moisture. As a dry skin girl I’m constantly seeking out products that contain hyaluronic acid. This also contains peptides to keep skin looking smooth and plush. I purchased the shade Light but there are two other shades to purchase. Considering the product is so sheer, most skin tones will be able to find at least one shade that fits them from the range of three available.

I think I have fairly good skin that’s blemish-free without visible pores. I have some darkness around my jaw line (I’ve always called it hyper-pigmentation but I’ve come to realize it’s darkness) that’s more prominent in the Summer when my skin is more prone to tan. I also suffer from dullness and I reply on sheerer coverage to brighten up my complexion. I don’t feel I need full or even medium coverage foundation. Tinted moisturizers work fab or a lighter application of foundation is just fine. I actually liked this formula as it worked alone to brighten up my entire complexion and it also worked beautifully under foundation to ease dullness and allow my foundation to look brighter and smoother.

The formula is light, thin, and runny. It absorbs easily into my skin and provides a very sheer wash of color on skin. It’s quite hydrating without making my skin greasy or oily. When I wear it alone it actually disappears at around five hours or so. But when wore with my foundation it does extend the wear as it keeps my skin moist which allows my foundation to stick around without fading faster due to dryness. It also eases the way for my foundation as well and allows smoother application. I added a single drop of Hard Candy Glamoflauge Mix”in Pigment Makeup Drops for a little more coverage and thought the two products worked great together to get my skin looking smooth and flawless.

If you’re the type of person that likes a natural, sheerer, no makeup look, you’ll absolutely adore Sunday Riley Effortless Breathable Tinted Primer.

I love this primer! I’ve sampled it twice and it has been on my to-buy list for months and months now! I’m getting it during the VIB sale! Really glad it got a Muse-Approved!

I love Sunday Riley. It is a little pricey for certain items, but omg, they are great. I highly recommend the “good genes” and “sleeping night oil”. I will add this primer to my wish list. Thanks for the review. Most woman I know have never heard of Sunday Riley.

Hi Muse! I have purchased this product several times and the consistency of yours is not what it should be. Are you shaking it up sufficiently? It is not supposed to be that runny – it has more of a creamy quality. The exterior box is new packaging so I hope it has not been reformulated!

I purchased it last week from Sephora’s website. Shaken before used yes!
