Black Radiance True Complexion Match Me Foundation ($9.99) is a self adjusting foundation that I recently picked up. I have to admit that I totally buy into the self-adjusting foundation thing as some of them actually work really well for me. This one one reason I decided to try out True Complex Match Me Foundation.

This comes housed in a heavier square bottle that has an attached paddle applicator. The formula is a light grayish shade with specks of color pigment in the mix. Those little pigments burst as you apply and mix with the gray to create a orange-y tan shade. The formula applies perfectly with a lightweight feel and a seamless finish. This adheres well on my skin without accentuating dryness. It wears very well at around six hours before showing signs of fading.

I can see myself totally loving this if it fit my skin type. Sadly, it did not. I picked up the Fair to Light shade selection and it turned me into an oompa loompa. I’m so sad because I really like this formula.

If you’re a darker skin tone I’d urge you to give Black Radiance True Complexion Match Me Foundation a try. It’s a nice lightly texture foundation that’s perfect for my skin but better looks.

It’s available now at drugstores or pick it up at Target.com.

in all fairness, this brand is for women of color so it makes sense that their lightest shade is too dark for you

Yup, I know it’s a brand for women of color. I was simply explaining the Light Fair wasn’t a good match for me. So, if anyone is my skin tone they can avoid buying it thanks to the swatches and explanation of the shade.

I can’t do shade adjusting foundations or BB creams, they always end up too orange for me with my fair skin and I am not super fair!

Hi, I know that this is not related to this make-up review, but do you review Lime crime make-up? I’m asking because I truly value your opinions and reviews 🙂

Hi Stephanie. I don’t! Sorry! There’s a lot of controversy surrounding the brand so, I’ve avoided it.
