If you missed my post yesterday, VIB Rouge Members can now get their hands on the Kat Von D Alchemist Holographic Palette which is available now at Sephora.com!

Anyone grab it?

I skipped! I’m not much of a highlighter kind of girl and these look a little difficult to incorporate into a look!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I ordered it first thing this morning! 🙂

I LOVE opalescent effects and wear a lot of bright eyeshadows that I plan on layering with this. Also intrigued by the pictures I’ve seen of these as toppers for lipsticks, but think that may be a bit advanced for me.

I think the entire palette is advanced for me haha 🙂 I skipped because I’m not very handy with highlighter! It was tempting but I was good 😀 Enjoy Jen! lmk how it works out for you!

Ha — the entire thing is too advanced for me too, but I really like the packaging. Going to have to check it out in the store, at least. Is in stores yet?

As much as I love a good highlight product, I’m still on the fence with this one. If it’s talc-/petroleum-free, I’ll likely grab it, since I do want to use it as a face product. To get it just to use on the eyes would just be a waste for me, since I still have a Smashbox quad, and NARS Iceland & Kilimanjaro duos, so I have these shades pretty much covered…

Not sure how I would use this maybe a little pop on. Enter of eyelid but I’m loving it. Intrigued nonethelesss! Anything that shines like a mermaid.

By themselves, as eyeshadows, they are fairly lackluster. However, layer them over a black base and they are all kinds of awesome. I would not use anything like this as a highlighter though, I just don’t get using these kinds of colors has a face highlighter – I would think they would look pretty powdery.

This isn’t out in the UK yet but I can’t wait for it to be! The only make up I wear is lipstick and translucent powder but I’d make sure to use this over lipsticks to give them a different look! I can’t wait for it to come out over here. ^_^
