NARS Rita Audacious Lipstick Review & Swatches
The stunning NARS Rita Audacious Lipstick was launched earlier last month at Sephora.com in festive red packaging for the Holiday 2016 season as part of Sephora’s Holiday Kiss Collection. If you’re currently looking for a perfect, festive Holiday red lipstick shade you’ll need to get your hands on this gorgeous creation!
NARS packaged up Rita in a festive red square barrel for the Holiday season but she is a standard, permanent shade to the NARS Audacious Lipstick Collection. Rita is dubbed a scarlet shade but for me she’s a warmer toned red with a rich color payoff on a single swipe. She wears like a champ at six hours fade during that time frame which makes her a killer shade for Holiday parties. Although watch out for migration as this tends to move around a little bit due to the slickness of the formula.
NARS Audacious Lipstick launched in Fall 2014 in an array of gorgeous scents each of which is $32 each. Housed in a metal square barrel done up in a festive red for the holidays with a magnetic cap this presentation shouts Holiday elegance.
The formula on this line of lipstick has always been something to rave. As not only is it pigmented but thin and light with a slippery texture that glides on lips easily and flawlessly. It’s quite moisturizing with a light glossiness to the finish. I have drier lips as you know but this didn’t accentuate that dryness and the formula truly is gorgeous. The lipstick is pleasant and comfortable to wear without any fragrance or flavor that I detected.
I didn’t own Rita previously so, I’m quite loving the festive limited edition packaging for the Holidays! If you already own and love her you might want to pick up one of these limited edition barrels to have as a back up or to gift out to special friend as a Holiday gift.
It’s a beautiful shade with an excellently formulated texture that’s a pure pleasure to wear.
