Primary Raw DoYou Soy Milk Cream ($46) is Korean face cream that uses raw and pure ingredients that include fermented soy milk extract, ginkgo leaf extract, and chamomile extract to hydrate, brighten, and plump skin.

Let’s take a look!

Memebox was shipping Primary Raw products in some of their boxes a year or so ago and considerably how inexpensive Memebox is I found it pretty crazy that this moisturizer is nearly $50. And let’s face it, Korean skincare fan girls and guys know you can purchase highly effective skincare at very, very low prices so, $50 is pretty expensive.

I decided to indulge in Primary Raw DoYou Soy Milk Cream because Sephora is heavily promoting K-Beauty lately and most of their marketing hype works great on horrible consumers like me. I had hopes this would plump and brighten my duller skin.

This comes housed in very cute yet impractical packaging. It’s a glass jar that looks like a tiny jam jar but if you’re a bit clumsy you could potentially drop and shatter it which makes the packaging a bit impractical.

The idea behind the moisturizer is to give you a plump, bouncy complexion which simply translates as the more hydrated your skin is, the younger you’ll look! That’s typically the idea behind products like this and Japanese ones like Hada Labo Rohto Gokujyn Hyaluronic Acid Lotion.

The cream is very thick but gel-like in texture which allows it to absorb easily into skin. It’s free from synthetic dyes and mineral oil and apparently relies heavily on raw and pure ingredients. It has a very light fresh floral fragrance, thankfully, as fermented soy milk doesn’t exactly sound like it would smell good. I use it as a daily moisturizer and I use it nightly if I’m using Sunday Riley Good Genes. It’s provides very good hydration on my drier skin but as a nightly moisturizer it isn’t as rich as I would normally use so, I prefer it as an AM moisturizer. It does indeed give my skin a plush, plump, well hydrated feel but I wouldn’t say it brightened my skin.

I feel rather bad about the purchase because this is a glorified gel moisturizer in my opinion and there are literally hundreds available from a wide variety of Korean brands that are much, much, much cheaper.

Primary Raw DoYou Soy Milk Cream is a nice lightweight moisturizer that provides fairly nice hydration but the price point is way off for me.

Primary Raw DoYou Soy Milk Cream is available now at sephora.com.

I was googling this product and came across your page. Personally I think your review lack a more in-depth look at some very notable ingredients compacted into a light weight cream. For example, copper peptide.. isoflavones.. coq10.. so many other great ingredients. I appreciate your post of the ingredient list.. but it is so careless which is steering some readers from a great product.

Hi Lee! I’m sorry I didn’t completely address the ingredients to your liking! For me, it wasn’t really all that great a product and felt like a rerun of many gel moisturizers I already own. I appreciate your adding your thoughts though and pointing out the more important ingredients.
