Sugarpill Pumpkin Spice Liquid Lip Color Review & Swatches

Sugarpill Pumpkin Spice Liquid Lip Color ($18) is a new, limited edition liquid lipstick shade inspired by pumpkin spice everything! This is a little bit of a late Fall release but Sugarpill Cosmetics launched it along with a matching Pumpkin Spice Eyeshadow on December 14th and I quickly snatched up since I fell so madly in love with Sugarpill’s Trinket Liquid Lip Color.

Here’s a look!

Like most people around here I’m obsessed with Halloween, Fall, and all things autumn. The smells, the colors, the fantastic weather, it’s so my season! So, of course, I had to own a Pumpkin Spice shade of liquid lipstick right?

Sugarpill Pumpkin Spice Liquid Lip Color actually has a subtle pumpkin spice flavor and fragrance. Gotta love that? This sparkling metallic liquid lip color is what the brand descrbes as being a rustic copper pearl with warm golden reflects. It’s a darker copper brown with a warm golden sparkle in my opinion. It’s gorgeous to say the least! Whether or not I look gorgeous in it begs to be debated but I adore the color none the less.

Now Trinket was pretty amazing but I think Pumpkin Spice even better in texture and formula. I’m not a fond fan of all day long wear lipstick but Sugarpill’s formula is very easy to wear. It has a creamy mousse-like texture that’s very smooth (I thought Trinket was every so slightly gritty). Unlike Trinket, the sparkle comes out to play immediately after application and has a sparkly just poured liquid metal finish that’s truly outstanding. The color is pigmented on a single application but builds easily for more drama. The color wore well for me for several hours without migrating or moving. The formula isn’t hydrating but it isn’t drying or tight either. It’s quite smooth and even on the initial application and remains so through the entire wear without flaking up or going patchy after a meal or a drink.

The formula deserves a good solid rave but the real star of the show is the color. It’s an outstanding color and truly it does remind me of Pumpkin Spice everything. It’s a very pretty, sparkly metallic shade that should look very, very pretty on darker skin tones.
